Since the day I was born my sister (5 yrs old at the time) decided I was hers and didn't want anyone else to hold baby Kathy because I was hers! She was mad because our grandma got to hold me first when my parents brought me home from the hospital..lol! She has always been my mentor, protector, confidant and best friend. Growing up together was the best of times!!! When she moved away to Ca 28 years ago it was one of the saddest days of my life. There is nothing like a sister!ππ

I had two brothers (I now have one,) but I I've always envied my friends who have sisters. There is nothing like the bond that sisters share. However, I have a cousin whom I am very close to and she's almost like a sister I just love this story. Thank you for sharing with me. I will forever cherish it. The two of you are one in the same. @gordomom Sadly, we won't be together this holiday season. It's really hard for Kathy to leave our 82 year old dad. He doesn't like to travel during the winter. For me, I can't leave my kids----even tho they're grown adults. We have our traditions they look forward to and I can't disappoint. So living apart is a sad thing for us. Thank goodness for the telephone and FaceTime!!!
