Title: SAVORING CAPE COD
Author: VOLUNTEERS, STAFF AND FRIENDS OF WELLFLEET BAY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
Description: Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary a Massachusetts Audubon Society presents Savoring Cape Cod a compilation of favorite recipes with a dash of history and a pinch of salt. You'll find appetizers, soup, salads, main dishes, Seafood, vegetables, Bread, breakfast, desserts and more.
The recipes are native to the area but also family generation recipes. Their favorites so you know they are worth passing along. That's the best part of a community cookbook. Some examples of this page 215:
Twilight Zone bread (beer bread) that you can basically prepare (no kneading) and I'd say in 10 minutes put in the oven and you'll have a loaf of bread . There's a donut recipe that's actually a rhyme and it states that the recipe appeared in a 1916 edition of a magazine called Cape Cod a Monthly Magazine and they actually sold copies of this recipe at a country fair. There is even a recipe for the birds.
