New, never used with original price tag. Artisan handcrafted all leather saddle bag. This style bag was used by settlers of the mountains of Antioquia, a Columbian region of the Andes. It was declared as the cultural heritage of the nation in 2021.
The term carriel (aka guarniel) means carry-all. Guarnieleria refers to the store of a carrier artisan. This bag has the maker's mark "Rigoberto Agudelo" stamped on the back. The shape of this bag is hard to find. Black patent leather buckle style adjustable strap. Brown and white natural animal hair. White leather trim detail.
An authentic carriel has 12 pockets with 2 being super secret (hidden under the inside flap). This smaller bag has 6 pockets (one has a zipper closure) and is all leather.
Adjustable straps. Strap drop at shortest is about 21". Measures 10" across, 7" high, 2.5" deep.
