Stems are a deep burgundy with green leaves. You can let them grow tall for a fantastic back drop with beautiful vibrant purple flowers or keep trimmed back for deep green foliage. Frequent bloomer all summer. These make great tall back of bed filler or for planting in front of eye sore areas. They do tend to spread out of their area if allowed. They are very resilient & Hardy.
