Vintage 1940s signed English Setter Head etching

Signed in pencil by the artist as Jean Herblet, aka Boris O’klein (1893-1985), who immigrated to France from Russia as a young boy. He settled in Paris after World War I and became a prolific artist known for his watercolors and hand colored etchings of dogs. He signed his humorous images using his real name Boris O’klein and signed his more serious, classical images, such as this one, with the pseudonym Jean Herblet. Please note the multiple layers of slight discoloration on the empty space from previous framing. The largest previously framed area is approximately 19.75” long and 14.25” wide. This item is likely 80+ years old, and the edges of the paper show the wear that comes with its age. However, the subject matter is still in excellent condition.
