This is a unique piece of folk art. At one point, many homes had hand painted ceramic wall pockets they hung up for decor. Probably dried flowers or little items were stored in these, more likely they just looked cute! Probably from the 1950s, I found a similar one online, made in Japan. This one has no markings. The ceramic is crazed, but it still in good shape. Little hole in back to hang it. Kitschy decor. Cute green eyes and a touch of pink on each ear. Measures 4.5” wide and opening of wall pocket is 3” 3.5” tall
