The Cobalt Net pattern has been produced at the Russian Lomonosov Factory for over 50 years.
This classic pattern was created by talented painter, Anna Yatskevich, who tried many variations to achieve the geometrical perfection of the intersecting blue lines decorated with gold stars.
In one of the first versions of the pattern, the net was not cobalt, but gold. The Lomonosov Porcelain Company began manufacturing porcelain sets with this pattern in 1945 after World War II. A year later Yatskevich re-interpreted her pattern and created the famous Cobalt Net that gives such elegance to the snow-white porcelain.
The Cobalt Net pattern is represented in collections of The State Hermitage, The Russian Museum, The State Historical Museum and other large treasuries of culture.
