A one-of-a-kind Baltic Amber necklace featuring a large unique Amber gemstone as the center piece, with a sterling silver frame and chain, ca. 1970 This vintage necklace is a unique handcrafted sterling silver chain featuring an absolutely unique classic honey Baltic amber gemstone with intriguing inclusions. The sterling silver has been carefully handcrafted to hold the large stone. I will ship with the natural patina, but happy to polish to shine like new if desired. Stone measures approximately 2.25" x 1.75" Chain Length 25" I'm also selling a gorgeous Baltic Amber Bracelet (also ca. 1970) and a Baltic Amber brooch from the 1920! Dropping from trees, the resin imprisoned plant residues and occasionally insects. Amber has been used as jewelry and ornaments since prehistoric times.
