Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ was written by Lew Wallace in 1888 and is considered to be "the most influential Christian book of the 19th century". This Player's Edition is a stunning green with gilded accents and orange filigree, alongside a portrait of Judah Ben-Hur the main character of the tale. Well, the main character alongside Jesus, of course. Published in 1901, this novel features beautiful illustrations and blocked text as shown in the photos. CONDITION: Markings on spine have faded as shown. Some scuff marks, scratches and fading to the green cover overall. Corners of the book are bent inwards slightly. Interior pages are in overall good condition, considering age.
