Take Action against Breast Cancer this October

Educate, Empower, Encourage! October is Breast Cancer Action Month! There are mutations in the BRCA gene that can significantly increase your risk for developing breast cancer. Knowing your potential risk can help to have additional screenings and being vigilant about caring for your health! It is recommended that women begin getting mammograms starting at age 40. Under 40? Encourage your older friends and relatives to schedule their yearly screening! Know what is normal for you! Completing self breast exams every month will help you notice if there are any changes.
