Antique German silver mesh purse intact with original lining. Features a chainmail or metal mesh body with a metal frame and a kiss clasp. Purse dimensions are 4-1/2" high x 4" wide without carrying chain. Stamped GER.SILV on interior. German silver was an alloy used as a more affordable replacement for silver in the late 1800s.  Likely dates to Victorian or Art Nouveau era.
