VTG Reed & Barton Damascene Geisha & Floral Design Cuff Bracelet

Beautiful vintage bracelet made by Reed & Barton. Marked on the inside Reed & Barton Damascene. Damascening was a technique used by Reed & Barton incorporating 24K gold, sterling silver, bronze and burnished copper to create intricate, multi-toned scenes. Primarily manufactured in the 1970's these intricately designed bracelets were crafted by trained artisans. The detailed etchings are sealed with an epoxy coating to enhance the visual depth & eliminate the need for polishing. The aesthetic of this piece was influenced by Japanese art highlighting figures, flowers & foliage. The cuff bracelet has an open back in brushed silver tone. Eye-catching mixed-metal detailing.
