Antique book chain cameo gold filled necklace

This pretty cameo necklace with gold filled book chain is from the 1880’s. Clasp is behind the gold plate where the cameo is. I believe there was supposed to be a second dangle from the plate where the cameo and clasp are. Sold as is but does not affect the aesthetic of the necklace.
