Blue & White porcelain serving platter, collectible plate, 10 3/4 in diam

Incredible detail in this platter inspired by the British artist John Constable, famous for painting Salisbury Cathedral and pastoral English scenery in the late 18th century. This has "The White Horse" written at the bottom of the plate. Scalloped edges with repeated cathedral spire motif among the floral arabesques. Really beautiful. The visual effects of the image seem both graphic (as if inspired by an etching) and painterly. From Staffordshire England, by W.H. Grindley & Co. Perfect condition, without cracks or chips. No signs of crazing of yellowing. 10.75 in diameter.
