Laviny Nad Vsi is a translation of the award winning novel, Lawines Razen, by Dutch author, Ann Rutgers van der Loeff Basenau. It was translated into Czech by Olga Krijtová and published in 1961 by SNDK. It is a presumed first edition. There are many black and white illustrations by Eduard Hájek. It is based on a true story of tragedy and heroism in the Swiss Alps. There is wear and yellowing on the cover and spine with bumped corners. The pages are in good readable condition with some yellowing and the odd smudge. There is a name on one of the front pages. The binding is solid. Please see all the photos.
