NWT, LILLY DACHÈ BROWN CLOCHE FUR HAT 60'S

Designed by sophisticated hat Milliner Lilly Dachè. A 60's head piece made probably in New York City. French Born Dachè immigrated to the USA in the 30's and started her hat business a few years later. Some of her best clients were hollywood celebs and designing costumes for movie sets. She hired Halston during his beginnings and made creative hats for Vogue Magazine Covers. Fur brown cloche style with a small trim. Interior grosgrain brown band with sheer embroidered floral brown print top layer with a light solid copper sateen fabric underneath. Stored very well throughout the years. Second last photo is her work for a vogue cover 1960. Immensely talented, way ahead of her time. Size M Diameter 21.5" Approx. M fit, Rim 2.5" front, side then tappers off at back.
