RARE Vintage conch shell wicker basket decoration

This is a beautiful vintage basket in the shape of a conch shell. In really good condition minus the fact it’s been painted. It would probably look great refinished but I don’t have a lot of experience with wicker and don’t want to risk ruining it! Wicker itself is in great shape, only one chipped wicker spot (please see last photo). Has a braided base. Unique and rare find. Roughly 13” long, 7” wide, 6” tall.
