Very rare & unique Reportage Boiled Wool (85%) Women’s Teddy Jacket made in Italy. Cozy pearl gray color with button closure & fur trims on edges and on collar. Features soft texture and stylish design. Boiled wool is a dense, felted fabric made from knit wool that has been agitated in hot, soapy water. This process, called fulling, causes the fabric to shrink and interlock, creating a material that is warm, strong, dense, and resistant to water and wind. The interlocking fibers provide excellent protection against the elements. Unlike some untreated wools, boiled wool is often soft and not itchy against the skin. This is a European size 40 which can be more like a size Medium of US 8. This is a vintage item in very good condition. From a smoke free home & not exposed to pets.
