When Starbucks was at its height of populaity in the late-90's and early-2000s, they used to release a special edition "bearista" bear for every holiday. I don't know when they stopped doing that, but I guess it's a product of the times. This bear was released for Halloween 2001. It was right after 9/11 and frankly, any bit of joy that could be brought into people's lives was heartily embraced. This is a scarecrow bear, new with tags; never used; never washed.
