A stunning, high-quality "earth-tone" masterpiece from the mid-1970s. This artisan-crafted infinity necklace features a sophisticated multi-strand "liquid" design that perfectly captures the elevated bohemian elegance of the era.
Material & Gemstone Highlights:
Gold Beads: High-luster 14k Gold-Filled spacers (non-magnetic). These show incredible color retention and a warm, rich glow.
Banded Agate: Large, marquise-shaped focal stones with beautiful natural translucence and distinct honey-to-black banding (Sardonyx).
Liquid Hematite: Multiple strands of high-shine, metallic grey hematite beads.
Freshwater Pearls: Natural "rice" or baroque pearls provide an organic, textured contrast.
Construction & "Feel":
The Drape: Hand-strung on original silk thread. This piece has a luxurious, liquid-like drape that pools softly in the hand and feels incredible against the skin. Infinity strand (no clasp); designed to easily slip over the head and layer beautifully.
Condition: Great vintage condition with a beautiful “warm” patina. The materials have been beautifully preserved for ~50 years, showing the lasting quality of gold-filled components. Please note: In one small section, a single strand of hematite is missing (see photos), but the necklace is professionally knotted and completely secure. This is not noticeable when worn due to the multi-strand "liquid" drape.
