Vintage 7" Kashmiri Hand-Painted Lacquer Box India Papier Mache Floral

Vintage 7-inch Kashmiri hand-painted lacquer box from Srinagar, India. Made from papier-mâché with a black lacquer interior and ornate floral Nakkashi artwork in red, gold, green, and purple. Features a scalloped/lobed shape typical of mid-century Kashmiri craft. Shows some age-related wear, but displays beautifully. A fantastic piece of traditional Indian lacquerware.
