Vintage | Cocktail Dress with Embellishment

Beautiful Edie Johne cocktail dress features a sheath silhouette, a sweetheart neckline and spaghetti straps, and an overlay of a satin-like fabric that drapes diagonally across the bust and lower bodice that is secured at the waist on one side with a crystal-encrusted buttons and clasp, and a back zipper. Circa 1980s. Elegant and suitable for evening wear, cocktail parties, or formal events. 100% polyester Vintage US size 10 = Modern size 6/8 Flaw: two crystals missing, see photos. Otherwise in very good vintage condition. Edie Johne produced women's fashion, particularly during the 1970s and 1980s. She had a successful career in the fashion business, and in 1977 was one of a group of Toronto-based designers invited by fashion pioneer Marilyn Brooks to form an organization, which became the Toronto Ontario Designers (TOD) in 1978.
