Vintage French FP Lasserre Silver Religious Medal Pendant

For your consideration, a nice small Art Nouveau style French pendant scapular medal in silver tone metal depicting Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Sacred Heart of Jesus on the reverse. At the bottom of the reverse, it is signed FP Lasserre. The name also appears on the obverse of the medal. In addition the initials AR or AP are impressed on the edge, for A.Penin which may be the foundry maker, or possibly even the initials of Adolphe Penin, a renowned medal maker, who may have collaborated with Lasserre on this. Fermin Pierre Lasserre was a renowned French engraver in his time (approximately 1870 - 1943). He was a pupil of Millet and exhibited in the French Salons and was made a Chevalier of the Legion d'Honneur. His name also appears on silver thimbles of this date. Pre-owned vintage condition, as seen in the photos, untreated oxidation lightly shined with a cloth. Please view the photos for measurements and details.
