vintage ceramic serving platter is a beautiful example of hand-painted artistry, reminiscent of the popular Quimper faience style, and marked Beraluc Quimper. This piece likely dates from the mid-to-late 20th century.
🎨 Design & Aesthetics:
The platter features a vibrant, hand-painted design on a bright white glaze. The central motif is a stylized, repeating pattern of what appear to be palm fronds or abstract floral bursts in deep black and moss green, accented by comma-shaped elements and "eye" shapes in warm ochre, gold, and dark brown. The oval border is defined by rich cobalt blue bands and a striking black and white zigzag pattern along the very edge. The colors are characteristic of traditional European rustic majolica and faience pottery.
📏 Dimensions:
Based on the images with the measuring tape, the approximate dimensions are:
Length: Approximately 15 inches
Width: Approximately 9.5 inches
The platter is in very good vintage condition with a beautiful, glossy finish. Please note the small chip on the outer rim visible in one of the close-up photos
