No visible marks or tears. Shetland wool is a natural and sustainable resource. Known for its softness and durability, Shetland yarns are often woollen spun resulting in lightweight, warm garments. Shetland yarn when knitted yields fabric that “blooms” after it's been washed and blocked and garments made with these yarns get better and better with age. Laurence J Smith is a traditional company which produces knitwear on the Shetland Islands of Scotland, using super soft Shetland wool and traditional production techniques. Each garment is individually knitted by crofters in their own home, a nice personal touch which adds character to the end product.
