Vintage Marimekko Oiva Nanuk Coffee Mug, Polar Bear and Tropical Flower Design,

This whimsical polar bear mug is "Nanuk" by Marimekko, part of their iconic Oiva dish line. The delightful artwork of a polar bear, flanked by vivid tropical flowers was designed by Teresa Moorhouse. The design wraps all the way around the mug. On one side, there is an unobscured view of Nanuk, and on the other, he is partially hidden by tropical flowers that fold over the lip of the mug to interior. This pattern has since been discontinued by Marimekko and is hard to find! Please see my other listing for matching small plate. The bottom states the mug is dishwasher, oven, freezer, and microwave safe. Measurements: 3 5/8" tall x 3" across opening. Condition: Very good with no flaws or damage. NO chips, NO crazing.
