Vintage Wayne Clark Day Dress 70s/80s

Turn of the decades office or day dress from Wayne Clark on his entry to pret a porter designing for Aline Merelle manufacturing in Toronto. Unusually tame piece from a designer who dressed mega stars and entertainers but there are hints of his glory days in the long front slit and almost fitted profile. Shade print floral design cream on black. I purchased this piece brand new from a Yorkville, Toronto boutique close out sale in 1980 and have never worn it. Note: although dress has never been worn, the elastic at waist did not make it through the decades and has been replaced with a new one. Size 12 Bust pit to pit 20" Waist 16" Comes to below knee.
