Wedgwood 1960’s 29 Piece Cambrian Olive Stoneware Set MCM A robust collection produced by Wedgwood in the 1960s. The range is called Cambrian and has a wonderful earthy green glaze with relief moulded textured surfaces reminiscent of natural objects. It has a very 1960s mid century modernist feel to it and was one of the designs that demonstrates how even traditional potteries such as Wedgwood moved with the times in the swinging sixties. Wedgwood is especially associated with the "dry-bodied" (unglazed) stoneware Jasperware in contrasting colours, and in particular that in "Wedgwood blue" and white, always much the most popular colours, though there are several others. Jasperware has been made continuously by the firm since 1775, and also much imitated.
