fashion007 @jb13131 thanks for your interest. It's that soft leather that is now used in so many purses, called synthetic (which is a bi-cast leather, a man-made w/split leather backing). Someone asked on any bag so I did the research😱 it's actually softer in my opinion. As for the color, it's true to pictures (but on picture 4, seems dull and darker- maybe not even exposure😧.
