@kmccaleb71 Hi. Thank you! I use about 20-30 photo editing apps., I've made folders of many so I'm not certain which photo is from which particular app. 2 of my favorites are InstaFrame and InstaCard professional edition. They are very user friendly and a great place to start. 👍😃

Hi am new to posh and just as soon as I sign up noticed that someone is selling a item by using a pic of the item that was actualy posted by someone else on instagram that I happen to follow. #coincidence or is it a sign of no good can come out of this? Do you have any info as far as what kind of buyer protection does posh have in place to protect buyer from fraud? Thx

@i_love_shoes Hi and welcome to Poshmark! Poshmark does back your purchases and if you purchase something and its not what you purchased or in the condition stated you do not have to accept it. A seller is not paid until the buyer accepts the package. If you go to account then to "Frequently asked questions" it will explain their policy and its also a great place to start.😃

@listefanxo Hi and welcome to Poshmark! To make a bundle you group all the items the person wants and take a picture of the items to make a new listing to sell the items all together as one listing. If you look towards the bottom of my closet you will see an example of a bundle I sold this morning.

No I don't accept PayPal for payment as this cuts Poshmark out of their 20% fee in which I feel they are entitled to being they handle all the transactions, provide shipping label and provide the seller with documented history of all sales. I think PayPal is awesome and I certainly have used my share of it on other sites..lol..but I just choose not to accept it here as a courtesy to Poshmark.😃

@pink0505 Hi and welcome to Poshmark! I'm very lucky to have a great following but I put a great deal of time into my closet by sharing often and attending parties. You want to share your items often as that is how people see your closet and the parties are another great way to get your items viewed. It takes time but it's also very rewarding and loads of fun!👍😃

@tanny When you share your item it will bring that listing to the top of your closet. They also may not be together in the feed as the feed is live so other people's items go into the same feed.

Hello again! Can u tell me about the bundling thing?? I get that a buyer can buy more than 1 thing from u at a time, which saves them on shipping right? Unless it goes above the weight limit, but would u also give a discount on the items? I'm just thinking after the 20%goes to poshmark, u get less than what u initially want and hope for. @swtpea Hi. It's is entirely up to you if you want to give a discount on a bundle although not necessary. Many people do discount a bit as an incentive for people to buy more than one item from your closet, but as I said before that is entirely up to you. 😃

@katjo I will always look out for you, don't worry love, yes live shopping there also, my two brothers live up north, so were going to take him to Capri, the Aldafi coast and then work our way towards Rome , Vinice , then up north to Trento were my brothers and there family live big skiing place , I don't ski to afraid of braking my limbs lol .. @mariazimmet I've had it for over 20 years. I pretty much have it under control. As long as I don't over exert I do ok. I can tell when I need to slow down a bit. I don't let it stop me from doing anything especially travel as I travel quite often. Sorry about late response, my dog is demanding attention and I told her I'm the boss but she strongly disagreed and won my attention! :-/

Ok - need help on completing my first transaction. Went to post office and also downloaded app for USPS - but can't find the free boxes Poshmark is referring to. They are all the flat rate/regional boxes. And I don't think I can use the $7 shipping label they sent me on these boxes. How do you usually ship your items?

Found the boxes online - thanks! The lady at the post office didn't know what I was talking about and had not heard of Poshmark before. Well she will now. She was going to check it out after work today. I told her its a good idea because if a site was using/promoting them then they will know what we are talking about (in case another newbie like me is asking about these boxes). lol

@fajing09 it is also against Poshmark policy to use paypal for transactions and if they catch the seller they can shut down their closet. If a seller goes through paypal then they will have just used Poshmark to advertise their item through and not give them their cut.

I think you have a nice closet and the best tip I can give you is share your closet a lot and increase your followers by following others, some will follow you back. The more followers you gain the more people see your closet. Also share at the parties as that draws a lot of people and your item is viewed by everyone. 👍😃

It is do nice for newbies to have people to go to for advice. I've been trying to find what I can on the site so not to bother anyone but I have a couple questions and the answers are probably in front of my face but I'm asking anyway. I'm west coast and I know you mentioned you were east coast so it's Kate for you and I understand I might not get an immediate reply 💌.
Where do you find the 'suggested users' list so I/we know who is on the current rotation? Aldo I'm currently getting my things together so this weekend I can photograph everything and actually have a closet. A couple questions. Is it easier / smarter to put similar items together? I.e. pants/ tops/ jewelry/shoes/bags and list them that wAy in your closet or just put them in randomly? Also how do I add the 'no PayPal/ trading' to the top of my page? I might find the answers before you get back to me due to the time difference but I appreciate your help either way. Any other tips or advice wound be greatly appreciated!!!! 👍😉

@trinad17 Hi and welcome to a Poshmark! The suggested users list is under account then search people. As far as setting up closet, it's your closet to set up any way you like. Some people group things together, shoes, bags etc, some color coordinate, and some just list randomly. There really isn't a right or wrong way. To add no Paypal just click account then edit profile and you can put no Paypal where email is suppose to go. Some people also make signs to put in their closet such as made to list what you accept or do not accept..etc. I hope that helps and I answered all your questions. 😃

@twee Hi. To bundle you have to take a picture of all the items in the bundle and make a listing of that bundle for the price agreed upon. On the items original listing you have to edit each of them and mark SOLD like you did the RESERVED and add 2 zeros to the price so no one clicks the buy now button. If you look beneath my Everything beyond this point is sold sign in my closet you will see an example of how to bundle as I just did one last night. Take a look at that.

Congratulations! We make the rest of it simple. When you make a sale on Poshmark, we provide you with a pre-paid, pre-addressed label ready to be put on the box. Once the item has been packaged, you can drop it off at the corner mailbox (if it fits) or at the nearest US Post Office. Remember that the shipping fee has already been paid for you (for packages up to 3 lbs). Labels for packages heavier than 3 lbs will incur an extra fee of $1.99 per pound. If your package is greater than 3 lbs, you will need to generate a new shipping label which you can do directly from the app. Any extra costs will be automatically deducted from your earnings/credits.

@xoxorainne Hi and thank you! To make the emoticons in the settings on your iPhone click general, keyboard, emoji. That will set the emoji keyboard. Then when you want to use an emoticon click on the world symbol (next to the microphone) and that brings up all the emoticons and symbols.👍😃

@fancy514 When she cancels them they will go back to the original listing. What I did one time when the buyer never got back to me was went ahead and generated both sales and shipped them separately. I enclosed in their package a coupon for free shipping off their next purchase from me on any item over $20.😃

Encouraging Poshmark community members to buy outside of Poshmark either through Paypal or other means is not acceptable. Taking transactions offline is harmful and hurts everyone who plays by the rules. It also prevents us from providing a great experience for everyone. If you are approached to take a transaction offline, please contact us immediately at support@poshmark.com
Accepting PayPal hurts everyone. It cuts Poshmark out of the deal. Poshmark is entitle to it's 20%, it's a small price to pay for allowing us to use their platform to sell our items. If more people keep using PayPal Poshmark will have to start charging per listing like eBay does and that be much more costly to list your items.
Another reason is Poshmark cannot monitor nor back any purchase understandably if a person buys with PayPal.
Your closet could be shut down if found accepting PayPal. Why should Poshmark produce and pay for your shipping labels when getting nothing in return? Essentially you are using their platform for free and this is harmful to all.
As far as trading I know many have successfully but you are trading at your own risk. Many people have been scammed by trading. I prefer not to take the chance.

@steph90c Awwh sorry that idea backfired! Many don't realize when they do a mass tag how it really angers more then promotes. Your listing probably would of gotten deleted anyway as spam. It's best to just use the generally newsfeed or only tag a few people at a time so not to fill up their newsfeed. Just chalk it up as a lesson learned and keep your wonderful incentives to the general feed and you will be just fine sweetie. Life is all about lessons😉Have a great day😃

@bella2boyz Hi. Under accounts then Guide to Poshmark there is an example on how to bundle. There really isn't ant fast way as you have to edit each listing and mark sold on them and increase price do no one clicks the buy button. Then you have to make a new listing with all the buyers items. If you look in the bottom of my closet in the sold section you will see an example.😃

@katjo Hiii hope ur well! Going for a mini getaway this weekend can't wait to use my purse! I wanted to ask you since you seem to be involved with poshmark and help out and stuff, they've "reduced" their shipping fees, but I am finding it ridiculous and almost like they are fooling people..so for orders less than $25 they have reduced prices by 51 cents, for orders over $25 they have reduced it only by 1 cent literally! Then there is the catch that they have also reduced the amount of weight they cover, so now instead of 3lbs they only cover 2lbs and buyer or seller has to pay an extra $1.39 to upgrade the shipping label if the item is more than 2lbs. i don't see any benefit or savings in this situation. Chances are most items will be more than 2lbs and ppl will end up paying more than before for shipping costs. They're saving us a PENNY for an item over $25 and charging $1.39 for items over 2 lbs...am I the only one who is upset about this? Thanxxx 😊

With the decrease in weight it ends up costing the seller more to ship because you have to upgrade your shipping label on anything over 2lbs. @serser22 You certainly can voice your opinion through email as I'm sure many have although I'm not certain it will change anything. Inflation bites! It's like many years ago gas was .79 a gallon (I'm wayyy to young to remember that..lol) and it just keeps going up just as most things do. Unfortunately it's a part of life and business, as much as we would like some things to stay the same, things just keep going up, so you just have to roll with the changes. You only have 63 so that means only 63 people see your closet when you share it to the feed. Share other people's as many will share back to their followers and share to the parties as that is viewed by all not just your followers. @loverjoy Ok sweetie here's what you need to do-You need to select the desired total weight for your label. After tapping on "need heavier weight label" then select the desired weight. If you don't select the desired weight it will print the 2lb label. Hope this helps.😃

hi kathy, i swear i am becoming your regular with questions. what kind of envelopes can i use to ship small things (shirt) i don't have little boxes and mailman always complains that im not using right boxes, so i think im gonna switch over to envelopes, so i just wanna make sure which ones to use. i dont want my buyers to be paying additional shipping (if i use the wrong box). thank you

@emiina Hi sweetie and I'm happy I can help. If you go to the USPS website you can order boxes and envelopes free, delivered right to your door, it's very convenient! There is only one priority mailing envelope, If you click on Get mailing and shipping supplies, then click on Envelopes, the ones we can use say "Priority Mail Tyvek Envelope" they are 11 5/8 x 15 1/8. We cannot use flat rate or any other only the Tyvek. If you would like to order boxes as well click on Priority Mail and choose what size you want in the Priority Mail Boxes, don't get any flat, regional or express boxes. Just mailing boxes. You can also use any brown box or plain mailing envelope but you need the priority mail stickers (the stickers are free also on the website) to stick on your package if you use plain boxes only.
I found also at Big Lot they sell CD envelopes that are bubble lined and waterproof, they are a dollar and I find them perfect for small items but if it's fragile I will put it in a video box (available free at post office) then put the box in an envelope. I hope this helps, I know it can be a bit confusing on what type of box we can use!😳

@emiina Yes, you need the shipping label because that has the persons address and the tracking number and that's also the paid postage. You only need the priority mail stickers if your mailing in plain brown packaging, the sticker just shows that it's priority mail.😉

This is good to know:
We only send a notification (i.e. news item) the first time a user shares another users listing. I.e. if the same user shares the same listing again, it will not result in a notification. The 'share' however does happen - i.e. your followers will see the listing in their listing feeds.
So if you share someone's listing more than once they will not get a notification that you shared it but it will still share in the general feed.

Hey Kathy, sorry to burden you but I have a question. Hoping you can help since your more experienced. I bundled an item for someone and they purchased the bundle it is showing sold, and the funds in my pending funds but I never received the notification it was sold on here to mark shipped or an email with the shipping label. Do you happen to know why or what I can do?

@msha Hi. She can't return it as all sales are final. Unless the item was not as described only then she could file a complaint, but not fitting or to short is not a legitimate complaint for a return unless it was not the size listed. It is the buyers responsibility to ask all sizing question if not in the description to insure fit. What most people do when buying something that doesn't fit is just re-list it and sell it.

Being a Posh veteran I'm sure you've dealt with crazies. I just had this random person comment on my top saying "ugly" I was like while it may not be my style, your comment is random and uncalled for but I respect people's opinions and everyone has their own style I just don't see the need to make negative remarks on people's listings. -__- what is wrong with people? Ugh! I just don't get it! You're such a kind and friendly person! I know some people get mad if they don't get their way like a huge discount or something but to be so random and hateful is uncalled for but I'm brushing it off. This is basically a business and you're going to get haters and unhappy people. I just hope this woman isn't being disrespectful to a lot of other users. A hater thrives on the confrontation, don't give them that satisfaction. Yeah, at first I thought it was spam or maybe someone hacked into their account and thought it'd be funny to be rude but I was polite and just said that everyone has their own opinions and style and I respect that and so should she. I'm definitely not letting it get to me I just hope this person isn't rude to a lot of people for no reason. I wanted to ask if you know of a user cdjacquot...a week or two ago she "purchased" a listing without any comments and the listing had a collage of different color bags, so I asked which she wanted she never responded and didn't respond to any of my comments, so I cancelled her order and let her know I did and again she didn't respond. Because the listing had been stamped as sold I had to redo the listing all over again, this morning she "purchased" that listing too!! I commented and she didn't respond I don't know what her deal is...should I report her? She doesn't have any listings of her own and now I have to redo the listing all over again, again!!

Happy to hear he's improving. My mother was taken to the ER two nights ago with high BP and chest pain. She was held one night and released after all tests came back normal. She's ok and her bp is lower today. I immediately thought of your family - just never can anticipate this type of thing and it's all frightening while it's happening. I'm so glad our loved ones are doing better!😊. And wow, 3am??!!?? Geez, you posh addicts are crazy. I would NEVER stay up THAT late! 2:59 am is my FIRM bedtime - always.😜😜😜

Also work on increasing your followers by following others and some will follow you back. Every follower is a potential buyer so increasing your followers also increases your chance for a sale.👍😃

@lovetallie Hi😃During the 2 hour evening party hosts pick the items that they want to put into the showroom, many select from the party newsfeed so be sure to share share share your listings to the parties. Host Picks are very selective as they are chosen amongst literally over 150,000 to over 200,000 shared listings per party. You have a nice closet with great covershots so just keep sharing and hopefully you too will have a host pick. I recently hosted a "Never had a host pick" party and only picked items from prople who never had a host pick, I hope to do another one again soon so keep your eye out for that!👍😃

Does my items get shown when I join the parties? I read about the shipping charges and was wondering what happens if the item is more than 2lbs and there's not enough postage on the package. My daddy went through numerous surgeries for knee replacement and a subsequent "super bug" infection. 😢He spent one whole year on picc line antibiotics. Suffered a fair amount of depression through that - my mom, too. I know where you are coming from, sweetie!🙏

@queenmumm I hate that hospital! I had to go there everyday for a few years between surgeries and to take my Mom for chemo. It haunts me when I'm there because I see her everywhere, she died of lung cancer. I've spent a lot of time going to that hospital. But you do what you have to do. It's hard when you become the parent to your parent.
How horrible that dad had a picc like for a year!!!! That was one nasty infection!

@caitmichele Hi and Welcome to Poshmark! The best way to get more people to see your listings is to share them often and share other people's listings, most will share back yours to their followers. Share to the parties is also a great way to get your listings viewed because everyone can see those, not just your followers. I went to the Boston Posh party tonight and got to meet a few fellow poshers as well as some of the Posh team like Lyann & Maria. They were SO welcoming & friendly! I told them while I know some fellow Boston poshers, the majority of my favorite ladies live elsewhere like @katjo & @gordomom 😊they knew you both and said it was great I met such awesome ladies like you two! Wish I could go to the one in Vegas but they said it'll most likely become an annual event and every few months they will probably have the city parties so there's always more to come! 👍😀

@kobesmommy Hi! I think your prices are fine. What you need to work on is increasing your followers. Right now only 133 people see your listings when you share them (except when sharing to parties, those everyone can see your shares) I suggest following people as many will follow you back. Also share people's closets and many will share back which shows your shared listing to all their followers. This open the field up to many more people seeing your closet. It takes time to build up a following but sharing and building followers is key in increasing sales. Happy Poshing!😊

@kanyejoyner Hi😃 Staff pick hosts based on several criteria's the biggest being that the host is following all the rules. Most hosts are suggested users. There are literally thousands of members that want to host so being chosen is a huge honor. Right now they are not booking any hosts past Oct 31 as a new team will be taking over the job of scheduling party hosts.

How long does it take to become a suggested user. I've been on here for ab 8 months but in the beginning I was new & made the mistake of doing things that weren't allowed but since posh warned me a couple months back I stopped everything & was hoping that they maybe would give me a pat on the back for changing over to following all rules but when God decides it my turn then it will be. @kanyejoyner You're welcome. I don't think it's that they are getting away with it, I thinks it's just a matter of time before it will catch up to them. Many members and hosts will not share or even follow someone not following the rules so they really are hurting themselves. There really isn't a set time for how long it takes to become a SU, I know of people who have been here over a year and still not an SU. There are thousands and thousands of members though so it's a big job for them in selecting. I do think they take into consideration people who have had items not allowed but have cleaned up their closet such as you have. I think you have a nice closet and are well on your way and in the right direction! Happy Poshing😉

@joannamichele81 No, I was first a suggested user on January 4th of this year and several times on the list each month following. That was before they changed it to this new system. That email is when they started the new system using the algorithm and they sent email to all the people they added to the new system. I'm a SU from wayyyy back!😊

@joannamichele81 The first time I became a suggested used back in Jan, they hadn't added the feature to separate comments from shares and likes, every morning I would wake up with 1000 in my newsfeed😱that's as high as it goes, I would have to scroll through all 1000 to find comments, it was a nightmare! It was my suggesting to modify the app to separate comments from shares and likes and was thrilled when it came to fruition! It was a lot harder in those days!!

Is there a way POSH could allow trades perhaps with a slight charge so PM doesn't take the hit? There are so many items for sale and more being added with less being sold, it seems. (to me at least). It would be nice if there were a way to have a clothing SWAP and still keep PM profitable! Just a thought.....

@maidmarian Hi😃 Trading is allowed on Poshmark but it is not advised nor is it backed by Poshmark. For example if a person receives an empty box or the item isn't as described, or the package is lost in the mail Poshmark will not back it because it was a trade. Trading is done at the traders risk. There are far more sales then trades on Poshmark as most people do not want to take the chance of getting scammed. This is why they don't promote trading.

@jojo1938 Hi and welcome to Poshmark! To answer questions you really do not need to be technically savvy, the app makes everything so simple to use. When you upload your pictures there are category's to choose from as well as a place to write your descriptions, size, brand and price, you just fill in the blanks. When your item sells, a red SOLD banner will automatically appear on the sold listing. If you need a heavier label you simply go to your account, then my sales, then on the purchase that needs the heavier label. Click on need heavier label and choose what weight you need. Once that is done you will immediately be emailed the new heavier weight label. When the package is accepted/delivered you will get an email notification that your item was delivered and your funds have been released to you. You also get a tracking number when the item is purchased so you can track the delivery. Every sale has a tracking number. To put more then one picture in one friend you need to download a photo editing app where you can put several pictures in a frame. One of my favorites is InstaFrame, it's very user friendly and a great place to start. It really is all very simple and once you get started you will be amazed at just how easy it is. @jojo1938 Hi😃 to respond to a person on your listing you have to tag their user name. For example if you want to respond to a comment I left on your listing you would put the @ sign followed by my username @katjo. This directs the comment right to their newsfeed.

I've had my closet shared and did my good karma and shared back. I've done good in the book. How can I boost some sales? I desperately need the money..

@calibae123 Hi😃To increase sales I would recommend working on increasing your followers. You can that by networking outside the app on other social networks such as FB, twitter and Instagram. You can share your closet directly to those apps thus given your closet more avenues to be viewed.
I also suggest getting rid of the listings in your closet that are not allowed, many members will not follow, share and choose as a host pick from closets not following the guidelines. There is a listing I have made in my closet that lists what is and isn't allowed.
Lastly of course is share share share and join the parties! Hope this helps...Happy Poshing😃

A few are: following all rules/guidelines, have a great closet with fabulous cover shots, are actively involved with the Poshmark community. If you feel you are host qualified then don't be shy, send an email to hello@poshmark.com and let them know you are interested in hosting and why you feel you would make a great host. @triciamelise Hi! I have made it a practice to not hold any items because I found to many times they don't purchase thus the opportunity to sell it while if was being held is lost. While many poshers will hold an item, in my experience holding an item isn't always the best thing to do.

@christinadepasq Hi😃It really depends on the Host, some hosts preselect weeks before their party and some pick right up to the day of their party. If you follow Poshmark on Facebook they post every Monday a list of all the parties and hosts for the upcoming week.😉

When you have a large number of followings (96,000) active members tend to fall to the bottom when new are added, when I unfollow and then follow it brings them back to the top. I also do this because it rotates my list as I often will use my following list as well as my followers list to randomly share.

@katjo Hi Kathy can I ask you a question since you are a veteran here? I have been on here for over a year and a half, follow the rules and buy and sell (top 10% seller). I have asked a few times to become a suggested user only to get the standard response of "we will look at your closet". I see other users with items they shouldn't have who use other payment forms etc and I wonder how long it takes to become a SU? I've also asked about hosting a party and have gotten the same response. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining I just want to see what your thoughts are. Thanks.

@ckayej Hi Courtney, there really is no definitive answer to your question as there is no set time as to how long it takes to be an SU. When you see SU's that are not following rules, report them. With so many members it's like finding a needle in a haystack for Poshmark, so by reporting it helps them to find the rule breakers. My advice to you is to just keep on requesting to become an SU and let them know why you feel you qualify to be one. I know it's disheartening when you see others who are not following rules on the SU list when you are waiting to be one and you follow all the rules, but don't give up because it will happen, you just have to keep a positive and let them know this is a goal you are looking forward to obtain.💗
