Dear sellers/Poshmarkers, please read! I really wish we can bring back the INTEGRITY of Posh Parties. Trying to find items during Posh Parties is getting harder when you share items that aren't included in the theme. As a seller, one should always think about their customers and potential buyers first. That's one way to win followers and get more sales. Please be honest and considerate! marieminx I 100% agree! There are enough parties that are general in theme that everyone can participate in. I wish we could tag "inappropriately listed"

myfashionjuice @marieminx so true! i wish they had that feature at parties too. At first i didnt mind but more and more people are doing it and when i'm trying to shop myself, it gets annoying at times to see more inappropriately listed items than the items that i'm actually looking for

kkal well said- not to mention all the adverts for "please stop by my store" without even listing an item! Just left the Tiff. party due to that!

mbolodeoku Thanks a million. There are new comers like myself who actually shop and keep our promises when we purchase and I don't think people should use Posh as a form of a garage sale don't sell things that u wouldn't wear. Stains, holes then justify yourself because u posted pictures when u get someone like me who gets excited and buy on pulse my bad habit my fault and then we get the package and it's depressing and u feel let down and u feel reminded why u alwSys went to the mall instead deals are cool thanks for letting me vent but at the same time I have gotten a lot of nice things from people who take pride in what they are selling.

mbolodeoku Yes I did that's how Posh explained it to me I wasn't really trying to report anybody I'm just kind of new and the deal we all want deals but at the same time people pay a lot for their items so why act like POSH is a garage sale or thrift store. I can go to one of those in my neighborhood people need to make reasonable offers especially when u know u r already getting a good deal I'm new to POSH I'm a nurse and I have all kinds of things in my closet which I used to just give away until I discovered POSH I don't even know how to upload my closet because I'm too excited from shopping from other peoples closets trust is essential

dm33pe I always miss the 12 and sometimes the 3 o clock party so I share all my items at the 10 o clock one so I'm not one of the people who change listings but I asked a few people why they change it and they made a very good argument why they do it. Some people said they just do it for sales but a lot of the girls say they do it because their items are never featured in the host picks...it's always the same females closet that are being chosen and no one really has the time or energy to go thru all the millions of listings so they have a better chance of people seeing their items in the daytime parties. Make sense but I could understand why it would make buyers upset! Happy Poshing!

myfashionjuice @dm33pe i totally understand you. But when i host parties, i dont look at usernames, i look at the items that look appealing to me and that's what i share to the host picks. They wont even be shared in the host picks if they dont comply with the posh party theme. Plus, if everyone does this, then having a posh party theme will be useless. I actually posted this because i was trying to find something i like from a certain brand that was included in the posh party theme but there were a lot of items that were labeled incorrectly and going through hundred thousands of items made me upset. :( what they are doing is only making buyers upset and is not the way to win buyers :(

myfashionjuice @klz9297 that's a good idea to have a limit. But maybe 3 atleast? And maybe they can just add in the description if they have more similar items available in their closet

myfashionjuice @smallyn no you're okay as long as you share items that follow the posh theme. :) there's currently no limit. We were just discussing here because there is too many listings that make it harder for buyers so search what they really want

snazzytreasures @myfashionjuice PM should be a place for anyone and everyone to sell their stuff. Even when there is a themed party going on, PM still selects dsame group of pple that they want to feature... So my question is what happens to pple that are outside that whole group thing, pple that are new and still has genuine items. If you want this to stop, contact PM and tell them to create an advert page for new poshers. They can make daily or weekly, and promote pple that way

myfashionjuice @snazzytreasures i totally understand that, I get you! But you should also please understand the buyer's side who joined... for example a gucci party - to find a good deal on a gucci bag that she cannot afford to buy brand new at a boutique. Thanks to posh, she can get one in her budget. However there are usually over 100,000 listings per posh party and it will be difficult for her to find what she is looking for if there are other listings listed as gucci even if it's a hollister shirt or victoria's secret bra. There are other ways to promote one's listing but I dont think changing the brand name when it's clearly not that brand, would be the best way to do so. Also please note that the posh party themes at night are more general where all brands are allowed. It's usually just the day party that has specific brands. And also, please keep in mind that one will not be advertised or promoted if the brand doesnt fit the item being sold. I have hosted a few parties here in poshmark so I know how it goes. As one of the previous guest hosts, I know how hard it can be to catch up with 100,000+ listings - go through each one of them and choose what items to feature under host picks. Of course, as a chosen guest host, it's my responsibility to choose a nice item that I think appeals to most and follow all poshmark guidelines. myfashionjuice @sandikailey thank you. I totally understand that some sellers just want to make money but as a seller, they should also understand their buyers - like you and me! We dont see Nine West ads posing as Steve Madden coz they dont wanna deceive their customers and so we should do the same here on Posh :)

myfashionjuice @dubsdesigns so true! Haha. Yeah, I usually just ignore a listing when I see it's not tagged correctly but I got frustrated one time when I was really looking for something and only found items tagged wrong just for the sake of sharing at that party. It was frustrating to go over hundreds of them and not find what I was looking for :(

moniluv3 Hello New to Posh Mark, and I was getting a little confused why I was seeing items in certain parties that didn't fit theme. I'm here to sell my jewelry. It's only been 4 days since I've been on Posh and I know I need to be patient for buyers But competing with listing that are not even categorized correctly and are listed in a theme party is a little frustrating. 💖

myfashionjuice @moniluv3 just keep on sharing at the night parties which are generally themed. Follow poshers and usually they will follow back to if they see the notification. Same goes for sharing - share other poshers' items and they will most likely share your listings in return. Just be patient coz people are in different time zones. I would usually share back before going to bed, after work hours or during lunch breaks. Share your listings everyday to be more visible. :) hope it helps.

snazzytreasures @myfashionjuice I understand and know posh guidelines. If u or the created of this app are that upset about it, why not do something about. Atleast I know one or two about technology. Tell them to create those kind of parties as a vault. And pple can unlock when the show the picture of what they are selling and the logo on the item, not the name. Or something, that way u will know who is coming in. But then allow all buyers and window shoppers inside. This is a good community, I will hate to see it destroy. It's far more better than eBay. myfashionjuice @snazzytreasures agree with you! Poshmark programmers are constantly updating the app so let's hope they can figure out how to encode that although that's gonna be tough with the different photos buyers post. I'm a computer programmer. :) And they can easily get a photo of the brand's logo online too and add that in their listing just to get in. So it can happen again. @dubsdesigns is right, people will do what they want to do and they will always find a way. All we can do is spread the word and encourage people to stop doing it 😊

leydiowl @mbolodeoku girl i couldnt agree with you more it is so annoying that people sometimes treat posh like a garage sale lol u have no idea the crazy shit i have heard. Ive gotten someone to offer me half of what i was asking for and i was already selling a new item in its box at half the retail price. I get offended at this. I dont do it to others so i expect the same back. Have fun in posh :) and dont let anyone give u a broken or tipped item, return that crap n get ur money refunded because that is just rude and Fraud

misskct @myfashionjuice I love the parties and they are so fun but people ruin them :( also I love the creators "hosts" of posh parties but I've noticed that some of the host picks are from users who use pay pal, which is against the rules.
