What an inspiration you are to me as well as other women. The cancer is called Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma. It effected my lung, liver, appendix, cervix, uterus, ovaries, and tubes. I just had bad cramping and heavy bleeding. I was just thinking it was just turning 40 and my body was just changing. If you and I can just encourage 1 woman to keep her annual appointment then we might have just saved a life girl👍 Bless you my friends💜

I am just coming up on what I hope will be my 2 year clear anniversary or birthday and 3 year diagnosis date! Clear scans just waiting on couple more tests! Seriously sending you strength and remember its ok to break, it's not self pity days, it's reality there's a reason cancer and treatment sucks. My aunt would tell me, "what do you mean self pity, this isn't self pity you're just choosing not to shield all of us from your reality today." Looking back she was very wise. Take care of you and @couturegirl is wonderful to talk to, she is 3 hours ahead time zone wise from me and she stayed up her whole night talking to me the night before my scans!!! Truly amazing! You are amazing, don't forget it!!!

couturegirl Nothing too bad..it did change color but went back to normal. I had 32 treatments. Not sure if they told you or if you'll need to but I had to get an electric razor to use under arms. They don't want you cutting yourself near the area. Also all natural deodorant like Toms of Maine or the crystal. And I kept my body form that they make so you are always in the same position..but I also kept an iv bag from my chemo. I know, strange!! 😚

couturegirl Yes I had it removed after I was done with everything and they knew I was clear. I only really cried 3x and one was when they said I needed to have it put in. For some reason that scared me!! During chemo, radiation and before my hyst in 2009 I had to have Zoladex inj in my stomach every month to stop my hormones. The needle was huge because it was a capsule. Is that where you get the wbc med? I wasn't familiar with it so I looked it up😊How did you do through chemo? Did you ACT?

Appointments to hear EVERYTHING the Dr. has to say because we might be feeling overwhelmed by everything and not hear everything the dr says, the one that holds our hair back when we have to throw up,,, and we have not lost it all yet the one who stands next to our shower door to make sure we don't pass out because its taking all of our strength we have just to wash our butt and clean our wounds. THANK YOU for being a care giver !! We could not do it without you,

kellieshannon @jefsweetie your post about our "caregivers" was beautiful and it is everything from the BIG things to the little things our caregivers share with us that make each one of them so damn special! Remember as "patients" we often end up playing a caregiver role as well, shielding others from our pain, fears, wanting people to know we are still strong dammit and helping when we really should be sitting. You are a beautiful person and your spirit it strong, I think of you often and sorry it's been so long since I stopped by! Please if you ever need want or just desire, holler for me I am always open to chat. I saw you ask Pen @couturegirl earlier on about removing her port, I had mine removed about 1 year after treatment, they wanted me to leave it in until 3-5 years clear but it drove me nuts, so I elected to get it out! So sorry about your 4 legged baby, wishing you peace! I lost my cat he was my best friend during treatment so I can identify with your pain and I am truly sorry! XOXO

I never ever in 1000 year would have thought I would receive the caring, genuine, and uplifting support thai I received from this post. I just wanted to give away a free t shirt.... BTW ,,,, that no one has taken yet LOL , are my clots really that bad? Lol, and get the word out, if I could, to remind women to get their B👀BIES checked at their annual exam. It TRULY could save their life..... Girl, I totally admire you for your strength, GREAT TASTE, and wisdom you have to offer. My closet is not a big fancy one with a lot of brand names. I am just trying to pay my medical bills. But I have gained soooo much more than money can ever provide, don't get me wrong,, at the end of the day,,,, I gotta pay my oncologist, I don't have near 100% coverage, but the friends I have met just on this post, to me are invaluable. Thank you for beeing a part of that. NOW ,,, NO MORE LEAVING OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN LIKE A MAD DOG! Just like I would Penelope. My port already has scar tissue built up around it and hurts like hell when I feel the scar tissue pull away. I have to work on it now every day so it doesn't get worse,, no biggie. But like you, Dr wants to be curtain that it won't be needed again, soooo I guess it is staying put. Thank you for the kind words about Tiffany. She was my Angel here on earth. She would be the first at the door when I would come home from each surgery and would sit next to the bed like an 8 lb guard dog ,ready to attack when ,the nurse would come to the house to pack my incisions. She would sit outside the bathroom door making sure that my guts didn't actually come out when I would be in there vomiting after treatments. She was sitting next to me the first time I went to brush my hair and gobs came out in my hand, tried to climb in my lap and lick my face as I sat their sobbing ,,, thinking finally, that this was for real. Like the surgeries didn't do that. Anyway, she was 13, I knew that she was slowing down, not eating, lost her hearing about a months ago. But you are never ready to say goodby, EVER. We have her son T-Roy,,,, it's even more heartbreak to se him go from room to room looking for her. I took her little blanket with us to the vet, made sure it had her scent on it,,, just for him, not sure if it is confusing him or not because it's reiterating the fact he can't find her. So now that I have had my verbal gut spillage for the day,,,, I just ask 2 things. Please help Penelope realize we need her on here and she is cared for and supported no matter what, Posh politics can kiss my big fat white dimple ridden butt cheeks. 2nd, PLEASE stick around yourself, it's not always about what cloths are in your closet,,, sometimes it's about how you touch someone else's life by having a closet. And that's all I have to say about that.🙏😘

kellieshannon @jefsweetie wow you have a way with words! Anyone ever told you that???? Do you write? Maybe you should! I am talking with Pen and need to more...I may come back and sell, I need a couple things settled within posh first before I can swallow my pride (I know pride is not worth tripping over) and put back up a few listings. I could never leave this community altogether though...even though its the ability to communicate gone awry through debauchery and defamation of character that caused my exodus, I don't like the favoritism stuff either at all but it was more the a-holes on here who drove me over the edge, the communication in this community has blessed me with some amazing people and life long friends. If you are a reader I have a great book to suggest that has helped me and members of my family a lot through and since treatment, let me know if you're interested. As for my port I am a runner (though recently not so much and I miss it) and my port rubbed and got catchy on sports bras etc. they didn't want me to remove it because with my colon cancer they never truly use words like remission or cancer free ... But after much deep soul searching I came to the realization that even if my cancer were to resurface its ugly face I would not do chemo again. So the port-pointless. That being said like anything in life we an never say never until eye to eye with the beast and my site was left with only small amounts of scar tissue making a re-implantation not too difficult!!! Ahhhhhh now onto fun!!!! Blood tests today and the grocery store Wooo Hoooooo the crazy life I lead! Peace today and always xoxo Cheers!

wenrella I've been just sitting here looking at your beautiful face.....speechless. Thinking to myself "how does she know?" "Did the Holy Spirit speak through her to let me know I'm not alone?" "Or did she look at all my comments?" What ever the reason, it touched me to the core. Yes, I have pain everyday! Yes, I'm a fighter! But today I wanted to give up...that is until I saw this post in your closet. Thank You for your sweet prayer. I'll be praying for your quick recovery & the growth of your hair. When I lived in Portland, Or. I volunteered at the cancer society in the "Look good Feel better" program. I would show women in the program how to apply make-up to enhance there natural beauty & different ways to wear a scarf on there head. It was very rewarding. I would listen to there stories, struggles & successes. We'd cry, laugh and have fun while trying on wigs, make-up, & scarfs. I hope you are in a program like that while your recovering. God bless you beautiful one. ❤✌

sdshopper You know what, it was a gift from The Lord to give me the opportunity to help out my sil- sister, as I will call her on our posts bc that's what she truly is. I was elated to help her. She chose me to tend to her, go to Drs, chemo, even shave her hair as we wept as it fell out. If I had to do it again I would. I think it was my calling. lizhar This is amazing what u r doing!!! 😍😍😍 I don't know if I'm considered a "survivor" yet since I'm technically in remission yet. I read about u on another post & just wanted to introduce myself. What caught my attention the most besides just surviving was the "bald" look. I did manage to get thru my treatments without losing my hair but last week I had complications & ended up with blood clots in my brain so they had to shave 1/2 my head. So now I'm in that stage where it's really hard to find my self confidence & actually go out to LIVE in this world. But seeing ur beautiful bald head put me a step closer to venturing out. I think I just needed to b reminded that I'm SO NOT the only one dealing with these feelings. Thank you for being a much needed inspiration!!! 😍😍😍

Thank you for your kind words, I'm happy that you see me as an inspiration, I don't really feel any different than the woman setting next to me, I'm just trying to bring a message to all women to treat themselves in the same high standard as they hold their children, spouses, friends and neighbors. We would all be the first one to set an appointment for our child if they had a cough last to long,, spouse if they had a headache to long, neighbor needing a ride to the store if their car was down. To be able to do these things for others, we have to be taking care of our own annual exams which includes obstetric appointments as well as getting our mammies grammed. Those tests should be first thing you do maybe after the taxes are filed in April or possibly you make a joint appointment for your dear hubby's prostate and you to get those Mammies Grammed. When you are both done,,, it's a dinner and drive in movie night, anything fun. By doing this ,it will help you l👀k forward to your next years examination. I am a tru believer in celebrating more Birtdays❤🎊💐🎉. I truly admire the work you do for the ACS! We have had a 24 hour relay team for the past few years, what a tremendously heart felt event that is... God bless you for somehow knowing that I needed a bit of a self esteem booster today.

mamatofmany I have doll, I go every 6 months as I have had two lumps removed from my right breast. Very scary until you finally get the results but even afterwards its constantly in the back of my mind. I will keep you in my prayers always. I've met some amazing women on Posh and have built and created some friendships that I will cherish forever. I can tell you are a fighter...not only for yourself but for your fellow sisters. They are all doing well, One is a Professor at The University of Utah. One is in aeronautics and one works from home. They are my Heros, they are strong women just like you a will to beat this disease, I can tell you are strong and never lose that! The power of Mind & Prayer works hon! I had to have them discharge me so I can make the trip to my grandfathers funeral. Thank you for thinking of me Sweet Face😃 I did not intend on worrying anyone, but I'm not gunna lie,,,, I'm a bit of a mess right now,, completely shattered over loosing my grandfather and this fight.... I'm pretty drained.

So happy to hear you are having it removed😇 It is soooo easy just to say " I will do it tomorrow " then tomorrow turns into next week , then next month, then when ever I get time. Next thing you know everything else becomes more important. Girl,,, it's time to take care of YOU! Please keep me posted and let me know how everything goes with pathology.. Stay strong and positive ,,,, the not knowing can be nerve racking,,,, but try to keep busy mentally as well as physically, I promise it will help💛 Thank you also for your kind words about my grandfather,,,, he was fighting brain cancer at 88 and was my true inspiration. I have a hole in my heart the size of the Grand Canyon but it will get better with time😔

nangram69 Wow... Reading through all these posts makes me cry both tears of happiness and comfort as well as some sadness! I am battling ovarian cancer along w rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia so everyday is a struggle no matter what. I'm kinda shopping around here for myself since my bday is coming up on Sept 2nd and want to feel good and look good again as soon as I get the chance to! I lost my dad to cancer, mom to dementia, my sister is terminally ill, my brother is mentally handicapped and then there's me w my battle as well as being the care taker of my brother let alone myself! I know I have a lot on my plate but always keep hope and faith in my heart w my other "cancer brothers and sisters" who are right there with me fighting the good fight! You are truly a beautiful soul and I wish you so much luck and love in your battle and in life! ;)

I had a female surgery a year or so ago & I've had nothing but problems & every since or I'd say in the last 6 months every time my Husband & I have ❤ not only is it 😢👈painful but I 💉👈the (red) if you get where I'm going w/that. So I'm hoping that mesh hasn't done anything bad to me inside. I've been checked 1 time by another Dr @ 6 mos & he said everything looked fine, so not sure whether to o to my regular Gyn or find a new one. I've been w/my Gyn for over 10+years. What would you do? btru2u38 Hi Hun, I came across your closet and saw this post. I just wanted to wish you the best. I pray you are getting through this and doing well. I just had a hysterectomy due to grade 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. It was so bad they had to take my appendix to. It was obliterated from the endo. My uterus was bleeding into my muscles. I was so horribly sick for years. Throughout this I have learned how bad endometriosis is. Not just an immune disease but like spider webs inside you entrapping your organs. I pray for you, and I'm so blessed and grateful it's out of me and my appendix didn't burst too. Stay strong. Your an inspiration....<3

Comfort her, talk to her, and let her know everything is going to be alright. Thank You Lord that You love us so much that not only did You sacrifice Your only Son, but You raised Him from death so that we could live in Your presents. Bring Katie into Your presents, give her the strength from the Holy Spirit. When she is weak You are strong for her. I see Katie surrounded by angels of healing, bathing her with golden rays of healing light. Creating balance and harmony throughout her body. Bringing a new sense of hope, they are using the light to disperse the fear and shock that may surrounding Katie. I can see the burns healing rapidly. In Jesus name AMEN!

wenrella Your so amazing! I feel like a crybaby w/ my fibromyalgia, sciatica, & celiac spru. I have so much faith that u r healed, yet my faith for my own healing is slipping. Some nights I cry so hard due to the pain in my rt leg & foot that I'd be willing to take a chainsaw to it & be the one legged Poshinista & cut the right leg off of every pair of pants& shorts I owned. I could sell all right sided shoes, I'd buy more dresses & get a wooden leg...no a peg leg & become a pirate..ya, that's what I'd do & get a patch for one eye that every time I blow my nose air comes out my (get this) my RIGHT FREAKEN eye! WTHeck is up w/ my right side of my body? K, bk 2 being a pirate..so I'd get a fake parrot to put on my shoulder & hobble to the street corner w/a sign saying "will work for pain meds" since Florida is a state that Dr's don't believe fibromyalgia exists & tell u it's in your head. It could be I guess, due to the fact I'm CRAY CRAY enough to chainsaw my right leg off & wear a peg leg & get a patch w/parrot on my shoulder. BAHAHAHGIGGLESNORT😜 I love u wifie (Isaiah 40:31)

Got XRays & they found degenerative arthritis & bone spurs, etc. Go into the Orthopedist this morning. At any rate, you have not been out of my thoughts & prayers even for a day. How r things going for you? I ask because I care not just a courtesy. Keep the faith girlfriend. We may not know what will happen to us tomorrow but we do know who holds tomorrow and He is ALWAYS good. He turns evil into good. Something powerful will come out of this. Did I ever tell you that our Son was DX w/ stage 4 colon cancer at 23? They told us it was the worst they had ever seen. Well, that young man is now 33 now & is getting married in Maui next year!!! shoebug IM so glad this awful disease did not break your spirit! my grandma (well she was in her 50s) found out she had a breast cancer. It was at pretty late stage when they found it.. But she fought thru it, and over came it. So I have so much respect for the women who continue to fight on through all the hardships and still come out on top. Women like you are the true heroes!

rockinrobyn Wow, all the love, kindness and support that I have found in Posh thru your closet/site has made my feel, well... Not alone anymore 😊. I am brand new to the site, I don't even have my closet up yet... I've been battling with Sarcoidosis, which is a disease that attacks your lungs by scarring them and growing lumps of granules in there until you can barely breath... The unlucky ones of us... It spreads like cancer to all your organs and body functions. I even have it in my autonomic nervous system ( I break out in a soaking sweat at anytime, anywhere, no matter how hot or cold it is.... Yuk!!!😝 I also have about 9 other auto-immune disorders.. I have 3 kids but my parents have had to take care of them mostly the past 3 years. My kids live with them but still have their own rooms here at home with me and my husband. 😪 sorry, this just kills me. At least my parents only live 2 miles away, I thank The Lord everyday 🙏 for them. I used to be in the real-estate field since I was 21 and ended up being REALLY good at it. We built an awesome home, moved in, then I got sick. My hubby has to work basically triple time to keep us afloat. I have had to go thru some chemo, IVIG and of course, loads of Prednisone! I look like a chipmunk that's ready to explode!! I went from size 4 -6 to a 14 in about a year or so. Nothing has helped!!! I lost about 20 of the 60 lbs. but am afraid to shop b/c I really don't want to spend money on bigger clothes... I'm optimistic that I'll lose weight but have not had any success. How have you lost weight? I can't really exercise much due to my joint, muscle and nerve pain. This all started when I was 30 and had complications with my full hysterectomy. Some docs say trauma to your body can trigger Sarcoidosis and other auto immune diseases. My WBC drops to 0.6 sometimes! I catch everything but 10 x worse than those who gave it to me! I just had 4 kidney surgeries in 3 weeks this past May. Sarcoid was the culprit. I'm just so, so tired of being sick, not having my 3 kids with me, not seeing my husband, being in crazy pain... How do you deal with it? It looks like you have such an amazing support system through Posh, I'm soooo very happy for you!💕💕 Breast Cancer Question: I'm 36 so I'm not supposed to get a mammogram until I'm 40. I have found several lumps in my left breast and one in my right. My left breast is in a lot of pain sometimes. I do not have an OB/GYN anymore since I have nothing, not even a cervix anymore. Can I just request to get one? Who would I ask? I'm sure my husband's insurance would pay for it, I think anyway... It's a PPO. I live in the Houston, TX area which has one of the best Medical Centers in the world but I keep getting stuck with just ok docs in my general area, a little south of town. I wish I could just barge in one of the teaching hospitals and say, "here I am, fix me!" I actually went to the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH about a year and a half ago and all they did was diagnose me with a bunch of new diseases and problems then sent me back to Houston telling me that I needed a "Superman Doctor" to take care of me and didn't even give me one referral! 😡😡😡 Sorry I wrote a novel.... I was just so inspired by all of your followers and especially YOU! You are such a beautiful person inside and out. I had to start over 3 or 4 times because I couldn't see threw my tears and I wanted to absorb every single word like a sponge. I cry like that when I know the spirit of our father is here with me, so strong and powerful yet so gentle and caring at the same time. If that makes sense. I sure needed to hear this today. I believe in my heart of hearts that I have a strong testimony and one that is true and worthy of hearing. She is loving, non-judgmental & spends so much time with Jesus that people are just drawn to her! All my life, people say, "I just love your Mom". 3 yrs ago I had a heart attack & when the peramedics got me stable, the guy said, " I just love your Mom". Later I was telling my bro that & I said why do people always say that when they don't know her?" And he said, because she spends so much time w/Jesus they can feel His presence & that is what they are drawn too but they don't know it"! It's the same w/ u my sweetie pie. Look at how many lives you are touching. I believe it's only the beginning. I know God has a plan for you & it is good not evil. Plans to bless you & not harm you.,, Jeremiah 29. sassysuzzy My Friend, How can I say, Thank You for my beautiful surprise?! I love it! I will keep it on my nightstand so I will always remember to pray for you before I go to sleep. Not that I would anyway! I have been sick since the day before Thanksgiving. Had a Root Canal on Wed, (what was I thinkin'), by the time I got home my throat was sore. Stayed up making pies until 3am & woke up w/a screamin' sore throat! Good thing I got a great husband who can cook! Had most of the prep done but He did the turkey, ham, etc for about 14! Anyway, I have been in bed since the day after Thanksgiving. Apparently your lovely gift came on Sat but my Hubby just put my pkg on the table. I saw it last night when I got up briefly. It really made my day!! Thank You Sweetie!! Tell Jeff that I'm sorry but by the looks of things, YOU ARE EVERYBODY'S SWEETIE! sammijored @jefsweetie I just came across your listing and have to say that your courage and strength depicted in your comments is astounding! My mother is an ovarian cancer survivor of 24 years! She never had chemo or radiation, just surgery to remove the soft ball size tumor. There was an lil old lady that used to come to her office weekly to hold her hands and pray with her during that time. My mom has remained cancer free! My prayers are with you. I believe the power of prayer is THE best and strongest medicine available! gettumgirl You know can't complain...go the first week of February so they can look into my stomach and do a flexi...not colonoscopy for there is hardly any Colon left...I feel good about it....they found a patch/lesion on my right kidney...biopsies twice and found nothing...have to get that done again this year again...the thing about that is...they could miss it...and they'll never know....please keep me updated with the patches you have....did you know Christina had surgery today...

gettumgirl Aweee hunny everything will be ok...and you know what...it's ok to be scared ...we are humans first...I had surgery yesterday...it was outpatient ...hernia repair...and as my family called me from NY right before I was wheeled away I cried to...because anything could happen once you're under....and I know God has this...but he also knows my heart...and he knows yours too...when are your biopsies scheduled...

mytherapy @jefsweetie Katie, I'm so impressed by your fight and touched by your story. It makes me know that I'm doing the right thing when I insist on screening tests for my patients, even when it's "no longer recommended" by whatever society makes the rules. I recently went to my doctor, who told me that they no longer recommend Pap smears or pelvic exams yearly, instead every 5-10 years! I was appalled, and thinking maybe I need a new doctor. Anyway, you're obviously a beautiful lady inside and out, very well-loved on Posh. Thanks so much for following me and sharing my closet!

sassysuzzy I haven't heard from you in so long but by the looks of your closet u have been a busy girl. I haven't been on much. My Moms cancer is back & i am her Caregiver. My Bro's live in CA. She's 89 & she is & always will be my rock. I am pretty exhausted as you know it's never just one thing you deal with. When things fall apart it seems like everything does. My 31 yr old God Daughter was DX w breast cancer yesterday. She has to have a mastectomy in both breasts. My heart is broken for her. I'm trying to put off my surgery until Fall. I am my Moms only caregiver. My husbands detail which has him in another State & was going to last 4 mo has turned into a yr now & looks like they won't be finished until Nov!! I need to count my blessings. Even though he's gone when I need him the most, at least we have a job & a husband. If it were just me, I'd starve😳Losing my ability to work & losing my career, losing my Mom, losing my adopted Daughter (my Sons ex girlfriend who was w him for 5 yrs & still my friend for 5 more.) My Som decided that it was uncomfortable for his new girlfriend & he can't get over his x girlfriend while we are good friends. It's complicated but he's asked me not to see her anymore. I really did not need this now. I love her as my own. Well can I lift your spirits even higher!😳i really do have so many things to be grateful for. Life is hard for everyone & we get our joys & our sorrows!! That is what makes us useable. Without the heartaches we would never know the joy!! I sent u a note or two & have been so concerned. If you tagged me I didn't get it. Just know u r in my prayers everyday. The beautiful bracelet sits on my nightstand so I never forget to pray for u. LMK how u are doing. Never heard what the results of the tests were. It just didn't sound good. Can I give your email to my God Daughter in case she needs to talk to someone who has been there?

sdshopper My lump although small, is still there....I don't see my hemo/onc until around Oct. Was getting some small pains (not bad just irritating) the other week but it's an enlarged lymph node (ultrasound done last year or '12-not sure) in axillary tissue. Going on 2.5 years......I think I may force them to remove it.....advice?
