orrhello
orrhello @templegrad13 - very sad that your self worth depends in the labels you wear. I am guilty, I have high end items but my bills get paid and my dogs and children never go without. At the same time I don't look down on others for what they have and I have always taught my children to do the same. I know this sounds corny and in a lot of ways we should have to do this it should come natural but we all wear a red bracelet on our right wrists to remind us to do something nice for others. Like I said we shouldn't need a reminder but as busy as life gets it is just an add "hello!!!!! What are you doing" lol.

enigma
enigma Poshmark does make name brands affordable and I think that's very cool!! While I don't believe we should fall into 'everyone has it, I need it..' especially when we are younger, our clothing is our armor ..we look good, we feel great!! Now, we can do that, build confidence and save money! Great story! 💗

schradeya
schradeya Oh I remember being that age. It is the WORST! I lived in a very, very small, very poor town, and even then, kids judged each other on what they wore and almost nothing else! It's terribly stupid, but there's just that age group when wearing the latest trend is the only thing that matters, the only way that (certain) people will accept you, and you haven't learned you don't need those people yet. I don't envy that poor girl in the story, or any teen/tweenagers, their youth for even a moment!
