cocoamy@cherylanney thank you for the share. I know, I'm disabled, so it would be very difficult for me to care for a blind puppy. I am determined to sell enough to get the surgery. I don't think I have ever been more determined until I got this news. He's my daughters puppy and we just love him so much.

Sep 28Reply

mdnewsmiamiI see it you got it! Hope doggie will be ok

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@mdnewsmiami yes I did and thank you so much. You are so generous to help us out this way. I'm so glad you told me you where Mark cause I wanted to properly thank you. I am blown away by your generosity. When I told my daughter that the women on here where donating $ to her puppy she started to cry. Our family has been a bit down lately from some bullying issues my son has been going thru due to his Tourette syndrome and then the news about the puppy and we all felt pretty defeated. But the generosity you and others have shown us has really helped our spirits. Thank you does not seem like a big enough word for what you ave done for us:)

Sep 28Reply

cocoamyThank you to Susanne Mann she just donated $20 to our puppy. I so appreciate all this wonderful out pour. You ladies are the best!! I cannot believe this generosity.

Sep 28Reply

thecozycircle@cocoamy You're welcome Amy! I will continue to share for you and hope you can get the surgery for your little guy!

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@zeuscat9 our family has been truly inspired by all this generosity. We will let everyone know when we reach the goal and have the surgery. He will be in a cone for 2 weeks and need pretty intensive care for about 4 weeks but we are praying to come up with the $ and I am blown away by your generosity. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will post pictures of his recovery.

Sep 28Reply

thecozycircle@cocoamy Would love to see pictures when he has recovered and hope you get to your goal quickly! Also my best wishes to your son! I have two boys and can relate to the teasing thing! 😕 Breaks my heart!

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@zeuscat9 thank you so much:). Yes, life is not always easy for our little men. I think we often believe girls have it harder than boys, but boys can also be treated pretty badly. I always say " I brought him into this world and he was so happy, and then the outside world got their hands on him and made him ashamed of what never bothered him before." Your generosity is amazing, thank you again. Yes pictures will be coming after his surgery.

Sep 28Reply

thecozycircle@cocoamy I wish I could have done more for you and will if I can! The boys definitely have it as bad as the girls!

Sep 28Reply

mdnewsmiamiYou are very welcome! Tell your son to watch Barter Kings I am sure the guy it's an inspiration to Tourette patients that you can have a normal life. I wish you guys the best.

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@mdnewsmiami thank you so much and I will do that. I have never heard of that show so iam going to look it up. The kindness I am encountering is amazing:)

Sep 28Reply

andine...and you don't need to worry about sharing back sweetie - you've got enough to worry about!! But thank you for all the shares. I liked this in my closet and will share your things many times so don't feel you need to reciprocate!! 😘😘💖👑 I hope your Puppy gets well fast - please keep us posted!

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@andine we were in shock. It literally was the last thing we needed. My husband had lost his job and we ate thru our savings so we are scrimping every place we can to get the $ for this surgery, so what was once a hobby (PM) is now going to save Gizmo's eyes. And I am so grateful for your help:)

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@andine I know, it's become such a habit to share back but it is getting so intense the amount of shares I can't really keep up with it anyways. Thank you so much:)

Sep 28Reply

cocoamy@shoppatterns thank you again for you help. Me sharing back is just out of habit but I'm getting so many shares I can't keep up so I will just keep thanking everyone. It is such a nice feeling to meet so many great women on PM especially other animal lovers. My extended family members are telling me I'm crazy to even try and to just put him down, but this community has really made me believe in miracles:)

Sep 30Reply

wlew@cocoamy My parents went through same thing good luck! My mom called the dog Facelift cuz in the end he cost what her facelift would of!!

Sep 30Reply

cocoamy@wlew was the dog okay afterwards and was his vision restored? I worry that this is happening so fast and what is the long term out come?

Sep 30Reply

wlew@cocoamy He was a Maltese that had diabetes and they replaced the lenses on his eyes. He did great yes he could see very well! They only did the surgery as they were moving and a new place would of been to hard for him. They did it at Ohio state univ. Very great job!!

Sep 30Reply

cocoamy@wlew that makes me feel better that it turned out well. We checked for diabetes and he does not have it. He is very young for his to happen and we to our going to replace the lenses. I've heard it makes the sight after the surgery better. Otherwise their sight is changed a bit. The lenses are only $150 each eye so that is not the expensive part of the surgery. But we figure if we are going to spend this much we should do it he best we can.

Sep 30Reply

wlew@cocoamy Right when my parents did it it was new in the 80's over 20 years ago so it was very new and expensive! I will donate when I have a few sales! My next few sales I will give you a portion!

Sep 30Reply

cocoamy@wlew that is so generous of you. It's around $4,000 now. It must have been outrageous back then. I'm thinking $10,000. What we do for the animals we love. He's our baby! He has a brother and they would die without each other.

Sep 30Reply

wlew@cocoamy my mom had Romeo and Juliet I have so many Maltese things I will give you and you just pay for shipping at a later date!!

cocoamy@cherylanney thank you so much for your donation. I am so blown away by this kindness. My family and I are so grateful to you. You have helped us so much to reach our goal. When we got the news about his eyes we felt defeated but you and others are helping us realize that we can save his eyes. Thank you sooooooo much:)

Oct 03Reply

cocoamy@cherylanney thank you for your help. And I will definitely let everyone know the day we do it. He will need to wear a cone for 2 weeks. I will take some funny pics. The month during his surgery is going to be rough b/c he will around the clock care. Eyedrops 4X a day. Special sleep requirements. I'm very nervous about that long month but hopefully he will do very well.

Oct 05Reply

lanirichmondYou're very welcome Amy. Please pay it forward when you can 👍

Oct 05Reply

cocoamy@lanirichmond it's so funny you just said that b/c I just said to my husband I owe big to the next person/animal ect. I will definitely pay it forward. According to my husband this is the first time something is going my way. I have had a 10 year bad luck streak. Specifically with my health. I am on my fourth organ removal and I really hope this is the last thing for a while.

Oct 05Reply

lanirichmondOh wow you have been through tough times. God bless you and your entire family 😊💕🌺

Oct 05Reply

cocoamy@lanirichmond thank you very much. Yes, it has been a rough decade. I turned 30 and all hell broke loose. Which is why when we got the news about his eyes we could not believe my luck b/c this dog was bought for me and my daughter to help us both deal with my illness. My daughter was 6 when I sick and over the years started acting out and having problems dealing with a mom that can't leave the house, so we bought her a puppy. Looks like I got her a sick puppy to go with her sick mommy. Gizmo has helped me deal with being ill and he keeps me company when I'm alone so often. That is why I am so grateful to everyone for caring so much. This dog is one of my life lines.

Oct 05Reply

cocoamyI need to just say there are so many wonderful people on this site. Their help with Gizmo is amazing. I usually consider myself a bit unlucky and for the first time I feel lucky and truly blessed to see such humanitarian behavior.

cocoamy@wlew thank you so much for your donation. You have been so much help. All of the ladies have been Gizmo's angels. he's noticing something is really wrong with his eyes. He keeps trying to rub it out of his eyes and its sad to watch but he has all of you looking out for him and I'm so grateful.

Oct 05Reply

wlew@cocoamy I will continue for 7 more days and more if need be to give you a portion of my sales! They have been slow, I'm sorry I thought things would pick up with the cooler weather.

Oct 06Reply

cocoamy@wlew you have been so wonderful. I am so grateful to all the ladies helping me. I was so glad I made some sales today also. It has been really slow lately. I wonder why. I would think with cooler weather but maybe not. I am hoping with the holidays coming it gets things moving. I am hoping to have most the $ by his appt in December b/c based on what the DR said after or around Xmas time would probably be our target for his eyes. It just depends how much more sight he has lost by then.

Oct 06Reply

wlew@cocoamy We will have it by then!! Things have to get better on here, this is how I pay my husband medicine and some of the home care!! He has dementia and somedays are bad, and some are okay this week he got a cold so it was different he was angry and that was new:(

Oct 06Reply

cocoamy@wlew I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. And thank god for poshmark it has helped me fund many things also, ironically health related also. My grandmother and my husbands grandmother both suffered from dementia, it is a very hard disease to live with. If there is ever anything I can do for you please let me know. What is your husbands name I would like to pray for him tonight.

Oct 06Reply

wlew@cocoamy His name is Mike thank you👄

Oct 06Reply

cocoamy@wlew I really hope things improve with his cold b/c the slightest things can make any disease so much worse. I will keep in my prayers.

Oct 12Reply

lmpasternack@cocoamy hi Amy. I am so sad to see this post. I have many dogs and I help a dog rescue as well. I love dogs sooooo much! In case you are unable to raise the money, there is a credit card called "Care Credit" which most vet's accept. They give you a pretty long time to pay off the amount with 0 percent interest. You need to do it in the time allowed or they slap the interest on the entire amount at a very high rate. But I have had mine for 3 years and only messed it up one time by not analyzing my bill correctly. It is a saving grace for me and for the dogs I have helped.

Oct 13Reply

cocoamy@lmpasternack they gave us an application at his appt, but my husband lost his job and we maxed out our cc and ate thru our savings, so we would not qualify. I m in a situation where I am disabled and my family (in laws) members are not in favor of us fixing his eyes. I have a $75,000 hospital bill so they feel that a dog is a dog, and I need to put my priorities In check. Gizmo and his brother Sonny were bought to extend my life and help my children deal with what is happening to their mother. And these two pups have done just that. So for me and my kids the surgery is necessary and we are doing everything to get the $. I appreciate all that every one is doing. And all their prayers and kind thoughts. I'm battling some pretty bad chronic pain right now so I'm struggling to keep my wits about me. Gizmo means the world to me and I am just hoping the work I'm doing is going to pay off.

Oct 13Reply

lmpasternack@cocoamy we need to be friends! I battle chronic pain daily from fibromyalgia and severe arthritis, and possibly psoriatic arthritis. I find that out on Friday. Praying it isn't. But my mini rescue of 7 dogs ARE MY KIDS!!! They are not JUST DOGS! Never in my life have I felt that way about dogs. I have loved them my entire life, from the time I could pet one. And we always had at least one dog when I was growing up. I will do the best I can to help u. There r other resources I can try to find for u as well. My Facebook name is Lori Shaffer Pasternack. Please friend me and you can even call me, my number is on there too. I am scouring through your closet to see what I can buy to help u too.

Oct 13Reply

cocoamy@lmpasternack I'm so sorry that you are also dealing with some pretty bad diseases. I too have fibromyalgia it was the 4th disease they added to my diagnosis. Quite frankly I'm sick of them adding on to my diseases. What are they doing for you to help you deal with your pain?

Oct 13Reply

lmpasternack@acufox @teddypug4 @teern @mloconnor8 @agnesrose @nineve will you ladies please share this post? I'm personally trying to help her raise money via Facebook as well. If you can find it in your heart to donate her PayPal email is listed above too. Or just buy from her. I bought stuff for Christmas gifts from her. 🎅🎉😘 thanks ladies! 👼

Oct 16Reply

lmpasternack@donnamag crap!!! I skipped you again. I'm so sorry. Please read my comment above. 😘. Thanks and I'm sorry.

Oct 16Reply

mloconnor8@lmpasternack Done! Thanks for reminding me. The other day I did go to her closet and was eyeing up a lovely coach bag JUST as you told her you were buying it! I had to laugh...great minds...... Anyway I did share and will go look again!

Oct 16Reply

lmpasternack@mloconnor8 I'm good. I forgot I tagged u guy's the other day. I'm with it. Oh well, now I'm a nag and @donnamag is fat. Don't feel bad, I'm fatter! 😈👻😱😳

Oct 16Reply

wlew@cocoamy Hi Any I'm hoping I get a few sales for you! I want to send you another portion when I get some!! May take some time, trying

Oct 18Reply

wlew@cocoamy Amy how are you?

Oct 21Reply

cocoamy@wlew I'm doing ok. Making some sales here and there. I hope it picks up close to the holidays. I appreciate all your help. Gizmo sees his specialist the end of Dec and we will be making a decision about the date. I am hoping to be pretty close to having enough. I have about $1400 now and surgery is $3900 approx. I still have a ways to go but the closer I get the better. I am hoping they say I have until Feb to do surgery but if they say it has to be done now for it to get best result we will take the $ we have and see what vet can do for us. I'm praying to sell a big sale like an LV bag. How are you doing and a better question how is your husband feeling?

Oct 21Reply

wlew@cocoamy Well I think sales are going to get better.. Fingers crossed!! I have made some good trades, but small sales:( I am going to send you something soon but wanted it to be a nice amount!! My husband and I talked about him not having a car anymore , he's thinking about, or forgot about it? He's the greatest man I feel so bad this is happening to him. He fell last week, and I didn't hear him and in the morning his head was all bloody.. Awww poor guy! We had 2 Halloween parties this weekend so we had fun, it truly helps me to remember ppls names when I remind him who we are talking to! I'm getting sharper😁. You should when you go to the vet tell him you can do payments, some can be very understanding! I'm really trying for gizmo and I know God hears my prayers! Thank you for asking about my Mike(((hugs))) to you

Oct 22Reply

cocoamy@wlew I'm so sorry to hear Mike had a fall. My god you must have been a mess finding him in that condition. Your hubby sounds like a sweetie and you are an angel for all that you do for him and for people like me. It's so hard when we need to make choices in everyday life b/c we are sick. Due to my medication I can't drive sometimes and it wickedly stinks, so I can empathize with Mike. You two are always in my prayers. I was telling my husband last night about you and Mike and he was touched by all you are dealing with that you are still helping us. Your an angel!!

Oct 22Reply

wlew@cocoamy Thank you, you kind words mean so much, and the prayers are the best!! I pray for you too!

Oct 23Reply

cocoamyI want to thank Ashley J for her donation. I appreciate your help in saving Gizmos eyes. Are you @ashleyo1984?

Oct 26Reply

cocoamy@ashleyo1984 thank you for the donation. Every little bit helps I am getting closer to my goal every day. We are up to $1600 and $3900 is the goal but if I can get 70% I m pretty sure the vet will work with me. So it's looking thanks to great people like you:-)

Oct 26Reply

cocoamy@ashleyo1984 I have met the most amazing women on here and now your one of them :-)

Oct 27Reply

Oct 27Reply

kashmireYour dog is so sweet. I will happily shop your closet. I hope to help with his surgery

Oct 28Reply

wlew@cocoamy Hi Amy I'm sending you another Paypal donation, sorry it's not more! Sales have been very slow, and that girl never sent my bag but I will continue to try my hardest to help you and Gizmo!! 👄👄

Nov 24Reply

cocoamy@wlew your too much!! You don't need to do anymore. You have already done so much. Your too sweet for words. Gizmos surgery will most likely be beginning of Jan. his appt to see where he's at is Dec 27th. I'm very nervous about it b/c it will be a rough month. He will need round the clock care all month and I'm getting nervous about the risks from the surgery but when u have no choice you must take those risks. He's been so super cute lately, it's hard knowing what is happening to him. He has been trying to rub the bind spots of of his eyes and it's really sad to watch him. Thank you, you have been Gizmos angel, I appreciate all your doing for my puppy. It's nice knowing so many great people on posh. I'm so sorry she never sent the purse. I just don't understand how people can be that way. How is your husband doing? I hope he is doing ok especially with the holidays coming.

Nov 24Reply

wlew@cocoamy I knew dec was right around the corner, and I have been trying to sell in here but it's so slow.. Or like a garage sale! I had a item for 1,800 I was offered $80 I said to her did you forget a 1 or are you drunk!! I went off on her. But so tired of low ball offers! I hope it gets better and I can help you more!! My husband is ok is new meds are working somewhat and he hasn't gotten worse!! Gods blessings 👸 I'm working harder at work, lots of peeps on vacation got holidays but I love my job! Hope your feeling better everyday! I pray for you and gizmo every night
