I started reading the books finally today and then I got side tracked looking at pictures of baby wolves online after the second chapter. You can dedicate a almost a whole chapter describing baby direwolves without putting me into a google black hole of baby wolf pictures. Yep, that pretty much sums up my day so far.

jnyfr@tuesdaymundy the books are divine. They were my Twilight. I read them like I read the Flowers in the Attic books when I was a teenager. I also fell into a Google hole, but it was when I looked up the Targaryen family. I have been waiting to see Joffrey's wedding on screen for a while. After the red wedding it was so satisfying.

tuesdaymundy@jnyfr oh man, I can't even imagine having read Geoffrey's wedding and just waiting for it, knowing what was coming to that little jerk. It. My bf and I were talking about it and both agreed that while it was satisfying, it could've been way worse and I woulda been okay with it, cause he was a terrible person. Plus, ya know, it's fiction and television so we're allowed to have terrible fantasies about it... 😁😁😁

jnyfr@tuesdaymundy yes, I have friends who think Joffrey should have been sent to the bastard of Bolton for a Theon treatment. In the book it's from tyrions point of view, and you never see Joffrey's face. So seeing that Ebola like bleeding out was pretty satisfying for me!
