Vintage 1970s authentic Gucci Blondie brown monogram coated canvas and brown pigskin leather trim flap handbag.
One of the most coveted designs, with a large open GG hardware frame on the front messenger flap. This is truly a collectors piece that is only going to go up in value as more time goes by.
Accordion style body, that retains its shape when lightly full. 2 chamois suede lined interior compartments, and one I terror zippered pocket lined in satin. Snap closure.
Adjustable strap.
Labeled Made in Italy by Gucci
The gold tone hardware shows some fading consistent with the hardware of the time. It doesn't peel, it fades into an ombré like look at areas that receive the most contact as seen in the photographs. Absolutely expected from vintage 70s Gucci. All of the pieces do this, from the bag hardware, to the jewelry, and even the housewares line goods.
The exterior of the bag is in excellent condition, with only some small, light scuffs to some of the leather trim along the edges on the bottom and lower sides.
The interior chamois lining has some soiling looking kind of like when newsprint gets on your hands, and a couple of other marks. Nothing that damages, or distracts from the bag in any way.
Overall, excellent condition. And while I know I'm going to regret selling this one eventually, I just purchased a Blondie in black leather, so this monogram Blondie is only going to be stored. It's too beautiful and iconic to be stored away.
