Lots of fire trucks and well, trucks of all kinds, and lots of energy in my house constantly!! Thank you though - I was a lucky girl with my first birthing experience that it wasn't prolonged so I hope this one is like that - at worst! 😁

cassandraknox @wassermanalison My girls are super athletic so my husband didn't miss much there. Two are soccer players. One is good at everything- fast pitch, basketball, volleyball, diving. The last one is last years Washington state high school diving champion! And the toughest of the 4. She's the one in most of my pics, and all pink Barbie doll girlie girl. Go figure! When you get rested I'm sure we'd all love to see baby pics. (If yore comfortable with that).

wassermanalison @alu0515 read above to Charm 👆👆 and also - thank you - Lane is named in memory of my MIL Loraine. I did not like any other L name for a boy... The no epi is partially my fault (probably) since I knew I was in labor and should have come straight here and not to my doctors office to "confirm"...but I did feel more lucid after this time and he was out with less than 10 real pushes - thank g-d 🙏 I wouldn't advocate the natural birth though - wow that was excruciating!

wassermanalison @tlburrier it wasn't what I would have wanted but I think it worked out better. I felt so much more lucid afterward and it was nice to feel my legs. I think it helped start my recovery. Also, i did not have an episiotomy this time (thankfully that would have sucked with no anesthesia) and I'm sure that is also why I am feeling better sooner. And luckily I did not really labor for too long - I think 10 pushes tops and he was out (once I felt like pushing). Lane came out at 7 lbs 8 oz. not that I feel awesome - I did need a couple of stitches but it's def better. And I guess I'm not a first time mom anymore so I had an idea of what to expect. Ah...👶❤

Lane is putting on the weight (which means some nice extra chins and rolls on arms and thighs). Gabe loves him and still doesn't get why he can't touch him all the time and I'm just, well, tired. (He loves his brother though and that alone makes me happy). I went back to work last week and started a trial this week so at least I feel like my brain is working again. Running around after Gabe (and breast feeding) pretty much helped. But things don't quite look the same...🙈

adornedbyamie Girl yes I know-the boobies deflate😁@wassermanalison I was only a 34A after a baby they were like sagging skin sacks-ugh! So I got implants. One of THE best decisions of my life! They turned out slightly bigger than what was planned, but I was elated! It raised the saggy little skin and made me look "normal" I just have a zillion stretch marks. They've all faded though, so they don't even bother me. I figured you'd drop that weight having a toddler to run after, & a newborn! I'm glad u were blessed w/a happy baby. I was too! It does make things easier. You hear of womens horror stories of having a collic-y baby for the first year, & I don't know how I would survive a crying baby 24-7! Grace had her horrible 3's too-don't worry it does get better! They've always called it the terrible two's, but really it's age 3 that's terrible! Grace is 6 now, but sassy as all get out! I'm a little scared if what's to come in teenage years😧😰😡

Yes, thank goodness I seem to have a mellow happy baby because honestly with the way Gabe is now, if I had a colicky baby and this terrible three stage at the same time I would just throw in the towel. We are so frustrated with him. My sweet little boy has turned into a defiant little boy. Putting it mildly. Thank goodness his school is working with us to help him there as well. I cry a lot. 😩 I know he will have to learn to deal (he's smart as can be but socially he just doesn't get hands to yourself personal space listening although he knows what those rules are he just can't seem to not act on his impulses). In the meantime, I would love to purge these maternity clothes. I need to feel like I am accomplishing something. Anything. 😕

adornedbyamie @wassermanalison Cry as much as u need to right now. I only had Grace to care for who was a great baby,& I had a horrible postpartum depression and I cried lots! But YOU have a baby & like i said a toddler going through the terrible 3's! And it'd be my guess bed also acting out in a little bit of jealousy. He's not ur primary focus anymore. So... just maybe he acts out even more so you'll pay attention to him. Not that u ignore him, just u know y'all have a baby now who require you more than it three yr old does right now. It does pass though I swear-that evil little stage. And yes your husband was a big ole idiot for saying ANYTHING negative right now. I don't think men use their brains at times. They def can be very insensitive. You'd think they'd know a woman is going to be the most sensitive about her body right after being pregnant!
