I live in a small town in CT- Sandy Hook. A town that most of you had never heard of before dec 14, 2012. As you know, we had an unspeakable tragedy occur on that day, a day that changed our lives forever. I live w/my boyfriend and my 4 legged babies Zoe and Coco 🐶. I LOVE shopping, fashion and animals! I own a pet sitting biz that is the most amazing job ever🐾🐾

Well 47 and I honestly thought you were as old as my children my oldest is 24, 22, 20, and 18. The baby, Giorgio Armani is 1 1/2. He is a Yorkie-Poo. emilyrubin @giulia1427 wow, where in CT are you from? Yes it's been quite a year here in Sandy Hook.. Sometimes I still feel like it's an awful dream that we are all going to wake up from. One of my pet sitting clients lost their little girl, Jessica Rekos. It's just horrifying.. I live 5 min from the school and another one of my client's live directly across the street from the Lanza residence. I drive on that street every day. I'm sorry, I don't mean to go on and on about it. It's still something that I'm still in shock over. mottsie Hi Emily, I'm Linda. I live in Nashville, TN and you are a girl after my own heart. I love my 4 legged babies soooo much and the next best thing is riding Harley's. My last husband and I use to ride all the time before he died in a helicopter crash. I really miss those days. I am now just remarried to the most wonderful man and moved to TN. But at the time he had a GSXR- a really fast bike- and I LOVED it!!!! But, as we got older we realized our bodies couldn't handle that kind of riding anymore lol. So we got a Harley... And of course we were hooked! 😁 The weather is FINALLY getting nice here in CT. We are going riding tomorrow- yay! I can't have children (only the 4 legged kind haha) so I couldn't imagine how much work goes into taking care of, not only your own children, but foster children as well!!! I think that's amazing and such a wonderful thing you do!!!!😘😘😘😘😘😘❤️

weber502 Hi there....my hubs n I decided when we met that we didn't want skin kids but rather fur babies and over the years we have had 3 boxers and owned 2 doxies but fostered over 30 doxies....I pray (seriously pray) that FUR is allowed I. Heaven....lol. All 3 of our boxers have passed so now we have 2 dachshunds DUDE my blue eyed double dapple harley loving fur soulmate...lmao. (Long story, but he is committed to me and proves it daily...he's a champ). Our second one or I really should say my hubby's dachshunds name is HOSS a Looong red, sweet Doll baby luvie buvie......when my hubs is traveling then I call him my lil brown sugar boy. Anyone drop in on our daily lives would think we are straight up Fn crazy. We talk to our dogs all day long as if they were human.......I think anyone who claims to b a true animal lover would soooo understand....lol. Lol. I've read some of the posts but how about your household???

We have a rescue named Huey (aka Bubba and a gazillion other nicknames lol) who is 4 now. He's the black lab/pit mix. He's F'ing CRAZY!!!! 🙀🙀🙀 haha but we love him SOOO much that we don't care how naughty he is ❤️❤️❤️🐶🐶🐶. Zoe is my yellow lab mix.... lmpasternack @emilyrubin that is so awesome that u are a pet sitter/nanny for a living!!!! I am involved in dog rescues mainly, we have 7 dogs. 3 of which we don't know their exact age or anything. One we rescued I snatched from my favorite rescue to take her to my vet to try to save her eye. It was so close, but ended up losing one. She is only 2 this month. The rest of my guys r 9 and above, guesses from me and the vet. And my hubby is from CT so I have known where it was for a long time. We met when we were stationed in Groton in 95. Been together since. 💞 We r both retired Navy. He still works and I spend most of my days with our babies! Love them all sooooooo much!!! I do help out a cat rescue as well. 🐶🐯

My husband is a Paramedic of almost 33 years and when something like this happens it is so hard on all of us but he sees all of this first hand. We had a church shooting here in Texas in Fort Worth and he went on that call where a gunman went into the church and opened fire on children, killing a lot before himself. That haunted my husband for so long where he couldn't even sleep at night. I will never understand how someone can do this, especially to children. God bless all of our fallen. May they rest in peace. I wanted to also let you know that you use to follow me and PM is having some issues with people not following the same people anymore, some glitch in there system and they say there working on it but it is happening to many people on here where they were following someone and now there not. I've had so many people ask me why I'm not following them anymore and I thought I was. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know in case you were not aware of this as many people aren't and who knows how many people they've lost to this. Anyway, she's a school counselor and was pulled in to work in your town with the kids and families. Such a terrible, terrible tragedy. I'm a teacher and I cannot imagine - and don't want to - how those teachers and families coped. I know that your town is full of strong, beautiful individuals and that you are defined more by this strength than the terrible tragedy that occurred there.

niftyjac Yes! They are such sweethearts! We were at a restaurant on our local beach and poor Mason was swarmed by about 10 kids and he was just eating it up, wagging his tail and licking their faces while all the parents watched amazed! Haha. They're incredible dogs!

shugahs You're beautiful and my heart goes out to you & your city💖 Although many of us knew nothing about Sandy Hook, it seemed like we all connected that day. I think our hearts beat the same rhythmic mode for a long time. Still to this day, just the mention of SH makes our heart jump. (mine does) It took me a minute to write this. I've been pet sitting for about three years (just dogs). I love it! I love anything with fur on it's face though! I used I so a lot of rescues, but can't with my son and not knowing their history! I would be a pet hoarder if I could 😹

I want a professional makeup artist who knows what they're doing! Sounds silly, but I really have no clue what I'm doing lol.

I would of had children that age at that same school. I think of all those angels and their families everyday and they will never be forgotten.
