When it comes to matters of design Sophie Duran is a virtuoso. Her Anthropologie-exclusive collection is something to behold, and thanks to classic silhouettes, they are truly wearable. Here, lacy godets and black piping splice a landscape-printed silk maxi with a 40s dressing gown feel. This lined gown is spectacular! Purchased for an Oscar acceptance speech in a film, the scene was cut, and the dress never worn. I'm not in a hurry to sell this... it's a favorite.

onceuponathyme @lchouser Thank you, Laura. I'm just getting started Poshing, so my closet is still a bit of a hidden gem. But I'm a costumer, so I have a huge (2000+ SF) costume closet upstairs in my house with the pieces I've collected over the years for film and photo shoots. I always buy things I think I'll keep and wear - because I love them - but when you spend time dressing and styling other people it becomes ... you know ... work! So my own daily uniform is a Hard Tail Tee and leggings and a series of FP or antique tunic tops that will never make an appearance here. :-)

onceuponathyme @lchouser You can come live in my closet as long as you help me hang everything back up! Right now my Shakespeare Show (18 actors all playing multiple characters, so literally hundreds of costume pieces) is lying all over the floor - mostly (but not quite all) in bags. You have to be an athlete to get through the room - leaping, twisting, and turning - which is why more things are not yet listed! I was also a CAbi girl for 8 seasons - and never had a sample sale. Ugh! So many racks! So little time! :-) So what are you doing now?

onceuponathyme It's one of those "sad/happy" purchases for me . . . I got it to be an Oscar Dress (for the actor to wear when she received her Oscar in the movie), but then the award scene was cut... and so it was never used. I can fit in it, but it's just too tight to wear comfortably - or I'd keep it. As it is, I love having it, and looking at it, and touching it. ;-) But it seems like SUCH a shame to have a piece like this hidden in my closet. At least here everyone can enjoy the photos!!! :-)

irina0728 Darva (I hope I'm spelling it correctly!) I love your stuff!!!!! There are so many dresses that i would buy :). My size is usually small - the bottom (used to be 2) is 4, and my bra size as I mentioned 32-34 DDD. It's so much easier for me to fit into stretching tops but sometimes i can find dresses/tops that fit me perfectly even if they're not stretching much.

onceuponathyme @irina0728 There is no stretch to this - but what I need to see if I think it will fit is not only your bra size, but your measurement - in inches - around the fullest part of your bust and your waist. There is some tailoring possible with this dress - the sides and back can be adjusted - but the front panel can't be easily altered, so I'd want to make sure it would fit. The hips here are free, so only the bust and waist measurements matter. and yes - I'm Darva! My father did that. But I've forgiven him! ;-)

I have a lot of very expensive, difficult - or impossible - to find items. I often worked 2 or 3 jobs at a time to be able to get what I wanted for my business, so I totally get it. (rectangle - straight up and down, triangle - bigger on the bottom than the top, diamond - bigger bust and waist with smaller hips and legs, or hour glass - you know what that is!) chaneleffects I'll be honest. My family doesn't have too much to spend, and the money I get from work I'm trying to save for college and a new car. I was trying to stay under $200 if it was possible! After all it's just a dress you wear once. I wanted it to be extremely unique though. Most girls wear dresses that all look the same! Thank you for taking your time and talking to me💕

styledbykblake I wouldn't let them go either! It is on my list to hunt one down, you will see when the photographer gives me the photos.. It is perfect under the rust high/low I bought! The Lucille Black corset is a rust & green broad stripes, more is a stomacher with a toile lining. And the pink Nicole Miller, side zip, thin spaghetti strap. Has beading/stitching of flowers. We did one heck of a job with a phone call and a couple of text photos! Can't wait to really work with you! We will knock em dead!

Yes - I know what you mean now - I just didn't think of that cincher as being black! The Pink nicole Miller doesn't belong to me - it belongs to the same gal who loaned me the "broken" Byron Lars top. It's fab, though! And I can't let go of the Waist Cincher, either - I actually need it for some pick up shots in a movie I costumed. It was worn with the green taffeta skirt and a fabulous rust lace top you don't have. I got the waist cincher from Et... sy ... a few years ago. A pain to get into, but really lovely. So sorry - you've picked things that aren't for sale! :-D
