katz2 @nancyann09 You share your items to the party based on the appropriate theme. It's a great way to get exposure especially for the specific daytime parties. The evening parties are very busy as everyone attends them. Check out the Host Picks, share the items, follow the seller. The more you share, the better.🌹 Check out the other closets I suggest in the description of this listing for even more great tips.

supb Wasnt sure where to put this message but i saw something disturbing on Brandi0806 's closet. She says many of her "inspired" items keep getting deleted but if anyone saw one they were interested in, email her about it. Then she has her email up. Not exactly the same scammer thing we've all been seeing but not good at all. Why couldnt the person talk about it on Posh, like we are doing now? And how many times does a person have to have items deleted?

katz2 @supb Hi, I guess the best place to start is with the FAQS. Poshmark clearly states that it does not allow the sale of replicas or fakes. It goes on to say that if the listing violates the guidelines, they have the right to remove it. So, please check out the FAQS for the complete guidelines. As for the second question, I don't know the answer, so I will tag @katjo. Kathy, can you respond to the question above about removing listings. Thank you.

katjo @supb Hi😃 It's just a matter of time her closet will end up being deleted and not just the listings. They do issue a few warnings first that go on permanent record, I'm not certain how many warnings they issue until they delete the closet.

katz2 @steak422 Jessica, every evening at the Themed party, the co-hosts pick items from the users closets that they feel portray the theme. To see the Host Picks, join the party, then click on Host Picks to see the selection. Items are selected throughout the duration of the party. When you get a Host Pick, every user on Posh sees your item. Most sellers notate their item as Host Pick to designate it in their closet. Join the party tonight, check it out, then ask me any questions if you have them. I'll also tag you in a closet that has more info.🌹

I had a question that I've been confused by for some time, and I was wondering if you would help me out -- I know PP is forbidden, and I don't do PP, but trades are not forbidden, correct? They're just not encouraged because it's not necessarily that safe for either party? I'd appreciate your clarification :)) thanks much!

katz2 @jabberwocky Hi, you're correct trades are not forbidden, but you have no protection if the trade goes bad. Posh Protect covers both buyer and seller when you purchase through PoshMark. That explanation is in the FAQS. I have seen a great explanation of trades both pros and cons and I will tag you in that closet. No sense in re-writing the explanation.🌹

It was useful for me to see that since I was given the impression by some people, from their very stern indignation at being asked, that it was completely forbidden, but then some people were openly looking for trades. katz2 @pjsmom2010 Yes, of course. Use whatever app to include the words Host Pick. Save the photo. Go to your listing, select Edit ➡️click on the cover shot ➡️ click on the folder in the lower right corner, find your new photo, select it, click on Use. Finish the edit, maybe change the wording and presto! Finished!

katz2 @jenccloset Hi Jen, to bundle, you can put the price for both on one of the items. In the description write bundle & what items are in it. That way the buyer only pays one shipping. On the other items in the bundle, change the price to a very high amount and write sold/ bundled. Hope that helps.

Everything I put up for sale I still love. I was getting discouraged but that helped me quite a bit. I spent yesterday photographing lots of sundresses and will be listing them today. aprils2ndcloset @kfowler86 Hi, Katrina! Host Picks are selected by the ladies co-hosting the parties. You already have a fabulous new closet, clear/beautiful cover shots, and you follow all Poshmark rules, so you are an excellent candidate to receive Host Picks on your items. However, co-hosts need to "discover" your closet in order to consider your items for Host Picks, and the best way for you to introduce your closet to co-hosts is to comment on their party listings, just like you did on mine. @katz2 has a group of followers that she tags in new party listings, so that is one good way to find out about upcoming parties.😊

katz2 @reedg22 Hi, just looked at the listings. For the items that were bundled, but not marked sold by posh, edit the listing and mark it Not For Sale. That way, no one can buy it, since you still have a price on it. To insure that doesn't happen, it's best to mark it Not For Sale. Congrats on the sales!

norma143 @katz2 I have a question. I purchased an item that isn't exactly what is in the picture. The picture is descriped in three words like "shoes white and silver" ...but the seller failed to describe any flaws the item had...like rips, tears and stains.I know I should have asked more info or for a better pic, but I thought the seller would have offered that information as well or would have been honest about the condition of the item. Am I able to return the item, or am I stuck with it since I got what the picture described....shoes, white and silver ? :o(

katz2 @norma143 Norma, 1st take photos of the shoes as they arrived, box, bag whatever. Then take good photos of the shoes showing the obvious damage. Go to My Purchases and click on the arrow next to the item, select problems/inquiry and describe to Posh exactly what the problem is. Make sure you read the listing carefully and the seller did not describe the damage. Whatever you do, do not accept delivery of the item. Posh will investigate and get back to you.

tangibletakes I just had to block a new posher. She was advertising on my listing gs. Got to 6 before I got her blocked. Had to relist three of the six. Please, new Poshers, don't advertise your closet in other Posher'S listings. Big no no. Her name is @simplyglamm. You might want to warn others. Thanks Clara!

LOL I reported her for harrassment, spam, selling replicas and nonposh transactions. I turned her in for everything possible. HeeHee

katz2 @karaninak Hi Nina, to answer your question, yes, some gals have boutiques and they also list their items on Poshmark. As for scammers, 1. to protect yourself, never give out your email address. There have been requests asking "I have questions, can I have your email address." Most times, they have no listings and few if any followers. That's not to say people with no listings are scammers. I had no listings to sell when I first started, was buying only, then added my closet. 2. Check their feedback or look at the comments in their sold listings---is there any problem listed. 3. Always keep the communication and sales within the Poshmark app. You are protected when you do. This info is also listed in the Poshmark FAQS.

katz2 @karaninak Nina, as for pictures, you should ask the seller if you like one. Again, in the FAQS, because of copyrights, etc. you should always use your own photos. When in doubt, contact Posh Support. Hope this helps.😘

Also sorry for the confusion, since Jen gave me permission to use her listing as stated above. Whew! As to your question, I admit I am confused. Do you mean the invites that come out daily from katef? If so, she is an employe of Poshmark and she invites all users to the parties. Did that answer your question? If you mean the advance notices to parties, those will be in your feed or you may get notices from other Posh gals once you establish relationships with them. Let me know if this helps.

katz2 @patepies Saw your question about emoticons and this is a better place for an answer. I use an iPad, but it's the same for an iPhone. Go to Settings, then select Keyboard, then select Keyboards, then select Emoji. You will then have the option to switch keyboards. If you are using a laptop or Android phone, I have no idea.

katz2 @vchacon2012 Hi Victoria, welcome💕! To move items in your closet, you just share them. As you share them, that will determine the order in which they appear. That us also how to move the sold items to the bottom. Share all the others and the sold will be last. I think your cover shots are clear and depict the item you are selling, which is important. Check out @open Kim has a listing in her closet of apps she uses for her shots, plus directions. It's a great resource.

katz2 @lovelaughing Hi Becky, just returned from a short vacay, so sorry this is late. To tag someone, you put an @ before their name, just as I did here. This is the way to send messages to each other. The message shows up in our news. As for the hostesses, Posh selects them but I do not know the criteria. You could contact a Posh Support and ask, especially if you would like to be selected. The Host Picks at the evening party are shown in the Host Pick area. Everyone has access to this and can view it at any time, even after the party. So these items really do get a lot of exposure as do all items shared to the parties. The items you share during the day/evening only go to your followers. Hope this helps, if not tag me and I will gladly reply.💕

katz2 @jmroby Hi Melissa, I'm glad you find these helpful. Ask the buyer if she's ready to buy, then change the price by editing the listing. I also add her name @ whatever in the listing or you could write hold in it too. Tag her so she knows it's ready to buy. I have heard that some gals swoop in and buy when the listing changes, so be sure she is ready to buy before you change the price. Congrats on your sale.👍

katz2 @nancyrae Nancy, what you need is more followers. Make sure that you follow and share everyone who is following you. Go to the Posh evening party and check out the Host Pick area. Share the Host Picks and follow the sellers. Once you expand your followers, the rest will happen.

I created my account last Fall but didn't create my closet until recently. At 1st it was a little confusing about all the sharing, following, etc. but now am getting the hang of it I think lol! I did have a question.. When people mention "sharing someone's listings", does that just mean looking in their closet & selecting 1-2 items to share to my followers? Some of us are still building up our # of listings and some have listed more than 100 items to sell and it's really so subjective to me as to what exactly to share from someone else's closet. Right now I'm at that stage where I'm just trying to pick up as many followers as possible and also following others here alot in hopes that they'l reciprocate & share a few things from my closet as well :) Also many others have followed me but when I go to their page to follow them they have no listings. Are they just buyers? Also do you think that one day, Posh will create that "make an offer" feature like a couple of other sites have where it's private & no one else needs to see all the bantering/low balling/ snarky remarks for the whole world to see, lol! This would really streamline and get rid of all the clutter comments below a listed item for sale, you know? As a newbie here, but not new to the world of retail, as I owned a brick & mortar store for several yrs, I wish sellers could be more descriptive when listing items for sale. It's frustrating when you'd like to buy something and don't know the heel height, a bag's dimensions, or clothing measurements. Then I find myself wasting time having to ask & then wait for hours for a reply back. Do you know if PM is working on trying to make it mandatory for sellers to be more complete when describing items? I'm sorry to have gone off a bit here... A couple days ago, I posted most of what I mentioned to you to another "veteran" suggested user on here but I NEVER got a reply back; not even a shoutout or an acknowledgement of " hey got your msg but I'll write you back later" line... I was a bit disappointed & tried again to write her but I've been ignored😪.. Don't know why but it was implied that she's been sick? Idk, but I've been ill for a longgg time too and I'd never ignore someone who was asking for help here :((( Sorry again but it's 1:19 a.m. and I'm tired & just want to vent & make my Poshing a fun& happy experience😊 Whew! katz2 @lakeforest Hi Dorothy, wow lots of questions. I think some of them have been answered in some of my other listings, but, I'll get to them all. First, the non-response. Some of us do other things, work, school, are in other time zones, and may only check here a few times a day. Not an excuse, but there can be mitigating circumstances. On sharing. You decide how many items to share from someone's closet, 3, 5, 10 their entire closet...your call. When you share, usually they will share back the same number of listings. No listings usually mean they are buyers or in some instances we have had scammers and phishers set up listings and ask for your email. Keep all communication here on Posh to be safe.

Any changes/improvements that you would like to see should be sent to Posh Support for their consideration. Posh is very good about implementing changes that benefit us all. The FAQS state to give good descriptions, however, most people don't read them. Whew, hope I answered everything. If not, tag me again and tell me what I missed!😘

Another great gal, @elisehunter explains Posh as a high-end boutique. If you think of it that way, when you enter your favorite store or boutique, check out the merchandise displays. They entice you to buy. Same here. You want the best presentation for your items. The frame is from the app InstaFrame. Check out the listing of apps that @open has in her closet. I can tell you that I follow Posh rules, always add new followers, and always share listings and congratulate all the lovely ladies who get HP. I do not trade nor use outside payment sources. I know I have many items that fit party guidelines so my question to you is can you see anything wrong with my closet that allows me not to receive host picks or many likes/interests in my items? katz2 @lana_88 Hi Alana, I just checked your closet and it's beautiful. I am baffled too why you don't have more Host Picks. I will work on it from my end, too. What you can do is to be sure to watch the party announcements and if the hosts are looking for items or are asking to be tagged in a listing, to do so. Follow all the hosts and share their closets too. You need more exposure, like shares and followers too. Let's work on that. 💕

katz2 @lana_88 Alanna, I think the self shares are fine. Just remember to space them out so all Poshers see them. If you share early I. The am Eastern time, the West coast, Hawaii and Alaska are still snuggled in bed.😄 I will keep an eye out, too. But just get more followers and exposure.💕

However, it makes more sense to me to just follow the closets with items that might appeal to me (i.e., no counterfeit items). Is it okay to be selective in the closets I follow, or is it considered rude not to follow those who follow me? Of course I'm thankful for every follower I get!! Just curious about this. katz2 @arc525 Abigail, the choice is yours. Many people only follow closets that match their taste and/or sizes. Doing so limits the choices you have and may also limit your sales. For example, I love several closets but they are not my size in clothing or shoes, but have lovely accessories - jewelry, handbags, scarves. I never know what cute item will show up that I cannot live without. 😍 hope this helps.

katz2 @arc525 You can do a people search for Suggested Users. You also have some assigned to you by Posh. If you go to Find People, you will see some that they suggest you follow. Not all of the listed ones are Suggested Users, but many are.

katz2 @shows1211 Hi Connie! This is how to tag. Place an @ before the user name and that person will see the message. It will go to their news. You can tag them in your listing or if you are in their listing, no user name is necessary. I will go to your closet to demonstrate.

I cannot stress it enough. Share, share, share several time during the day and evening to take advantage of all the time zones. I will tag you in a listing to help you get more followers.

I've tried to make better cover photos and I follow posh rules, and I got a host pick yesterday and I've been getting a pretty good amount of shares (at least a decent amount in my mind) yet I haven't made a sale yet! katz2 @jordash720 Jordan, you need more followers. When you share your items it goes to your followers feed. When you share your items to a party, everyone on Posh sees them. So the more followers, the more exposure, the greater the chance for sales. If you look at it another way, every time you share your items, right now, the same 455 followers see them. You need more people to see your items. Do a people search and look for "following games" join in and follow everyone, they will follow you back. I'll start you off in one.

sfrelin @katz2 Hi there! I have two questions I was hoping you could answer for me! When shipping, for my first sale, was a pair of shoes. I wrapped them in tissue paper, and took them to the post office. It was about $12, if I shipped them in a box. The clerk finally found a large enough envelope, so I didn't have to pay for extra shipping. Is that how shoes and clothing is usually shipped, in a large envelope? Secondly, do I have to go to the post office to mail the items, or can they just be put in a mailbox? Thanking you for helping me out!!

katz2 @sfrelin Shoneez, you should always weigh your items at home because the label Posh provides for shipping is good for items up to 5 pounds. So, I have no idea why you had to pay for shipping. The shoes should have shipped ok with the Posh label. It's your choice whether to use a Priority Mail box or plain brown box or mailing envelope. You can get regular Priority Mail boxes and envelopes free from the Post office or you could order them on line from them. The mailing label from Posh also includes tracking plus $100 insurance. Don't use flat rate boxes. Secondly, you can put them in a mail box if your Post office has one for packages. Most of us take them into the Post office and get a receipt that it was shipped. Extra protection for you, the seller.

katz2 @erika75 Hi Erika! Doing well, Poshing away. I'd like to think you have what the buyers want, which is why they are purchasing. Have you searched for items similar to yours and checked the selling price? I generally search for items when listing mine to see if we are in the same range. Of course, only you know what price you need to get for the items and if you are happy with the purchase price, that's all that matters. I would imagine gold items would always be highly wanted and with graduations, weddings, etc. more so now.

ssvalentine I've always been one to keep to myself. As far as family, I only have my Mum and brother. Several weeks ago, someone told me about Posh. Honestly, I have NEVER MET SUCH INCREDIBLE WOMEN. As I was once told, one does not have to "share blood" to be "family". I now have my Posh family. clothes_garden Such great info here. Thanks for doing this! Being new, I may need tips on avoiding scams. I opened my closet very recently and had someone purchase a NWT high value item quickly that I had at a steep discount. No comments left. I thanked her and said I would mail immediately. No comment returned. The package is now marked pending and I just messaged her to please accept. No comment returned yet and there is nothing in her closet so I can't see any feedback. Thoughts? I'll wait a little while and see if it goes through. What is the procedure if there is a problem?

katz2 @clothes_garden When you say the package is pending, do you mean you tracked it through USPS tracking and it has not been delivered? The usual scenario is that you ship the package, both you and buyer get an email with tracking info. Once it is delivered, the buyer accepts it and your funds are released. It depends on the delivery of the package. So has the package been delivered by the postal service?

katz2 @clothes_garden You need to know the date it was delivered by USPS. Posh will release the funds 3 days after the delivery date. Find your email and then click on the tracking number. Once you have the delivery date, if it is beyond 3 days, contact Posh Support. Verifying delivery is of utmost importance.

katz2 @laurasluau Laura, the reserved tag appears when someone buys an item. It holds the item so no one else buys it. It stays on until they complete the purchase by entering all the information, address, credit card info, etc., then it changes to sold.

katz2 @hotpantsrhoads Heidi, that's a good question. Have no clue why they don't follow back. I have seen it too. Maybe they think we'll do all the work for them, sharing, so why should they? 😕 As for users with huge closets only following a few, I can only guess. My best guess is they have weeded out those Poshers who are selling things not allowed. After all, why support them when there are so many who do follow the rules. Second, they may have decided to only follow those who are their size, that they buy from frequently, or that they like their style. That way the only see those closets in their feed, not lots of items they're not interested in. Just a wild guess on my part. 💖

katz2 @madison_diehl All they do is press the buy now blue button and they bought it. You don't need to do anything. Once they complete the purchase with Posh, you will get an email with the label attached. Print the label, wrap the item, place it in a Priority Mail box, take it to the post office and ship it. Done! Easy peasy!

Has she responded? Were her rants specific about the items or just rants? I'd probably decide based on her response to my messages.

sydneyconstance Hi Clara! How are you? I have a question, I've sold many items and always had great feedback. I just sold a necklace to a woman and she received it today. She said it was damaged. She said the clasp doesn't work, which I know it did and she said it's not as gold toned as the picture indicates. I believe the pictures to be clear. She is trying to get Posh to refund her money. Is the customer always right? How is the best way to handle this? Thank you so much! 😊💛

katz2 @sydneyconstance So sorry to hear of this issue. You should forward your listing pics to Posh, especially the third picture since it is described as vintage. You can also let them know it was in working condition when you shipped it. Unfortunately, it a matter of she said, she said. Posh always makes the final determination in these cases. Be sure to present your case accurately.

She's not on Posh. What is proper protocol? Do I sell it to her and marked the listing as sold? Or delete the listing all together? katz2 @sydneyconstance It's as though you never posted it for sale. You decide what you want to sell. You may decide to keep an item,too, so you just delete it. Or you may donate it to an organization if it doesn't sell, so again, delete the item.

katz2 @debstermom Ok, first off. You are doing fine. The way you get sales is by sharing your closet. It's all about marketing. The more people who see your items, the better the chance of sales. Number 1 is to increase your followers. Again, you share their items, they share yours. I will tag you in a few following games. You follow the gals listed and they follow back. About the parties. When the party starts, you may share the appropriate items from your closet to it the same way you share to your followers. You will have an additional option to share to the party. As for the Host Pick, usually the co-hosts start looking for appropriate items days before the party. At the party, they spotlight your item by selecting it. Again, the more exposure you get, the more sharing you do, you will come to their attention. Also, when the party notices appear in your feed, congratulate the co-host and share items from their closet. You will catch on. Just give it some time.😊

katz2 @debstermom Now to the pricing of your items. Only you know what your price should be. Remember that Posh gets 20%, customers may ask for a lower price and if they bundle items, (purchase 2 or more, to save on shipping) you may want to give a discount. Check the closets of other people to see how they handle things. You could also search for similar items as yours and compare prices. Lots to think about. It may take a few days or weeks until that first sale, but keep sharing your closet and following others and sharing. It will happen.😊💕

sydneyconstance Hi Clara! How are you? I just sold a purse and Posh didn't show I made the money. It always posts immediately in closet stats and pending balance, but it didn't show. I've emailed them, but they can take days to respond. I don't want to make the buyer wait, but I don't want to send until the balance changes. Should I just wait until I hear from Posh or cancel the order and have her buy again? Thank you!!!!!

I have not experienced it, but I believe I would wait to hear from Posh. If you cancel the sale, if there is a problem, it may not release the item for her to buy again. You have 3 days to ship, so I believe I would wait, but it's your decision.
