Andrea, are they real stones?
andrea_27s
@efillingham Ellen I don't think so, I need to take it to the jeweler. It's on my list to do for the week. I likely will go Wednesday. I'm going to take a few other pieces too

@efillingham Ellen, this piece is only plastic. Do u think the asking price is unreasonable
efillingham

andrea_27s

CORO retains it's value and is highly sought after its not plastic it's lucite back Bakelite back when the war hit hit and the depression era a lot of our metal was used for weapons and etc , so a lot of Jewerley in the 40s was made out of lucite , and that's very high priced , CORO antique Jewerly is very high !!
andrea_27s
@pamlaleyan I thought I was asking to low of a price. It's a beautiful necklace. What do you think I should price it At
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s no that's not to low , go on ruby lanes site and u will see what that's going for CORO is high :)
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s sorry I mean they go a lot higher then this ,
andrea_27s
@pamlaleyan that's awesome I will take a look :)
pammalla
I don't think this is a bad price at all. I love vintage pieces and I find that you need an educated buyer or someone that falls in love with the piece in order to sell it. The site Ruby Lane that @pamlaleyan mentioned is very good for reference. I hope this helps you. 😊
pamlaleyan
@pammalla wow that's really a good price !!! Like really a good price
pamlaleyan
I'm not sure wait who's piece is this but , that is a very beautiful piece and its marked so low that honestly people prob do not think it to be Coro , take a picture of the Coro maker mark u will see that there's different Coro marks , Coro very rare now and very expensive !! That is a large piece !!
andrea_27s
@pamlaleyan thanks for the tip. I will certainly do that. What price would u say is reasonable. I changed it some.
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s can you tell me how Coro is spelled
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s like is it script or block ?
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s I need a really good shot of it on something black I don't know if it's confetti or plain it makes a big difference I think your piece more towards 40s
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s I just quickly looked eBay had one 138 and eBay is low , but a lot depends on the year and that u can I tell by the Coro mark , and then then the piece , if this is confetti lucite there's so many types of mixtures they used
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s go to Coro maker marks and you can pull a page and it will show u
andrea_27s
@pamlaleyan I will get it out and look at it again and do a little more research, I only took it to a jeweler. It was my grandmothers.
pamlaleyan
@andrea_27s pieces like that in that good of condition can go pretty high and eBay everything is priced to sell , if you look up vintage costume jewelry that's one of the highest $$ wise and if she was a Coro lady very good taste , but check to see if u have more and look up vintage costume jewelry collectors will pay a high price for it u just have to find the right collector , and posh ?? There are some look at the vintage lady's , I have not been on here a lot so I'm out of the loop
andrea_27s
@pamlaleyan I loaded up a photo of the Coro trademark on the latch.
