dmallyx @katz2 hii again !!! I just have a question ! This has been puzzling me but sometimes I see people comment on a listing and ask "will you do $XX shipped?" For example they will say "can you do $30 shipped" which essentially is them just asking "can you do $25" why don't they just ask for "$25" what is the whole point in saying "shipped" since shipping fees are regulated across the board for everyone ?! katz2 @dmallyx Hi, I can't say I've ever seen that, but, perhaps the buyer thinks they can get free shipping? They may not understand that the shipping amount is applied by Poshmark and not the seller. At any rate, you are correct that whichever way they say it, the end result is the same charge.

endlesslove24 If you girls could get together and report "highfashiongal1" I'd appreciate it - she has multiple accounts and has been using them to negotiate prices and act as if she is purchasing to swoop in on her other account and try to go lower.. She has committed to purchasing a pair of shoes from 3 of her accounts on my friends posting my friend got them all packaged up and ready to go 3 times she never followed through to purchase and just ignores when she is asked if she is still purchasing.. The last time she came back with harassment telling buyers to go but the shoes cheaper at macys to screw my friend over.. And she also posts all her items to gain buyers and sells ALL on PayPal or other apps to make more money.. I'd appreciate the help! Thanks girls!

katz2 @grace2389 I agree, it's very rude. I put the wording "no holds" in my listing for that reason. I will hold for 24 hours for a gal I've already established a relationship with. Common courtesy is non-existent for some folks.

Thanks again your awesome!! , great getting to know you , I saw a post that you listed for me about yourself. So a little about me...I'm Stacey,stumbled upon Posh 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it. People have been so welcoming , HONEST and so friendly. I live in Aberdeen Maryland close to an Army Base ,Aberdeen Proving Ground, (about 20-30 min away from Baltimore, Md.) Family isnt in the Army, born and raised here. Met my husband in high school,we've been married for 7 years this September and have one incredible, sweet little boy together (he's on my page in his first football jersey) . I used to be a Paralegal and hated every second of it. So I am now a stay at home mom, I have been designing wedding invitations, party favors etc. for a local stationary store on the side and somehow became a wedding planner for 2 of my very close friends ....and now addicted to Posh!!!!! Love fashion, shoes purses love it all and LOVE Tiffany & Co. Guess that's about it. Glad to meet everyone and thanks to all sorry I didn't tag everyone. :-) :-) :-) :-)

katz2 @jojobab3 Hi Jhoanna, when in doubt, check Posh Etiquette. As a personal preference, I would say no, and consider it the same as asking if they are interested. However, if you are offering a deal, for example they liked several items and you offer a bundle price, I would do it.💕

1shoppingmomma I have a question...I ask for more pics sometimes because one, I can tell how long the necklace is, two, there isn't a pic of the inside of a bag..usually I keep into likes because not ready to buy or don't want to buy because the said necklace is too short..so is that being rude? lakeforest When I'm listing an item, I try to be as descriptive as possible. To save a lot of time & energy, and to avoid being asked so many questions about your item, try to give all the measurements especially for handbag dimensions ( including the handle/strap drop), heel height on shoes, length of necklaces & bracelets including extender lengths, all pertinent garment measurements, etc. These are the kind of questions that I see get asked so often. Also use Apps ( I like framatic ) that allows you to upload extra pics like the inside of a bag showing the lining, interior zip back pockets, With LV's, Gucci, Fendi, etc. people will ask for pics of the date codes, holograms, logos showing authenticity. These are my personal pet peeves and if anyone wants to add anything else I forgot lmk :). 😊😘

They may have seen the item at a party or in their feed and commented directly in the listing without visiting your closet. A short polite reply will do. Such as "Sorry, I do not trade" and let it go at that.💕

katz2 @andreanna25 That's a tough question. I usually ask them to make an offer. That way I can counter offer and see if they are interested. Negotiate with them, but they should make the offer to you first. I also recommend you set up a separate negotiation listing. The give-and-take doesn't occur in the listing for all to see. If the price you list is what you want, add that to the listing as in Price is Firm. Hope this helps.💕

katz2 @andreanna25 Oh, that's a tough one. You could still lose the sale even if you lower your price. I'd leave it up to her to give you a price. Before I agree to a lower price, I always ask if they are ready to buy now, then I will agree and change the price for them to buy. Good luck!💕

katz2 @sydneyconstance Sydney, usually when you negotiate a price with a buyer, the price is for that person not anyone else. If you were to just lower the price for all to buy, that's ok. Nut, if you were in negotiations with a buyer, it was rude for someone else to buy it out from under them. Usually I ask if the buyer is ready, then when they say yes, I change the price and put their user name in the description. I, personally, would cancel the sale and tell the buyer it was reserved for someone else. But, that's your call.

katz2 @sydneyconstance So cancel the sale and let Posh and the buyer know that the price was for someone you were negotiating with. Never change the price until they are ready to buy that instance. You can always edit the listing and mark it Not For Sale if you are sure the buyer will purchase with 24 hours. Some people negotiate a price and disappear. You never hear from them again. 😠

footcandy @katz2 - Hi Clara! How do you handle mass tags from you PFFs (ie follow games, new user alerts, party alerts, etc)? While I want to be on the list, the sheer amount of people in the tag is taking up the entire screen on my mobile device. And they come back to back for about 15-30 minutes straight. The issue is that it's causing me to miss offers, scroll through and search for shares, comments, etc. I totally want to be on the list, but wish she would break up the posts so that it didn't flood my account. Any suggestions?

I also don't like it as a buyer, when I make an offer in the comments, and the seller doesn't respond, when I see them respond to other buyers' offers in their closet, just say no! I'm okay with no, or something! I hate to be ignored, especially since I only want 10% off to during reduced shipping days! (& I would do that as a seller too, just saying, I'd never ask for something I wouldn't do myself).

katz2 @alyssahourglass Alyssa, glad you like the listing. It can be frustrating when your comments aren't answered, but let me give you a little background. At one of the PoshFests, one of the big issues was to keep negotiations private. The biggest issue was the seller reducing the price of the item, or agreeing to a lower price in the comments and then, the buyer disappears. Now the low price is available for all to see. The seller has lost the power to negotiate.

katz2 @alyssahourglass part 2 Posh saw the need for privacy so they implemented the Offer button. Once the offer is made, it is a private negotiation between buyer/seller. Now, sometimes, when there is a shipping reduction, conversation in the comments can state that "if you accept my offer, please reduce the price of the listing so I may get the special shipping." Or something on that order. It's not that the are ignoring you, they may want you to make an offer to negotiate privately.

alyssahourglass @katz2 ~ I feel you on that part of the issue. My only problem (as a Posh buyer for 4 months) is that I will only try to ask for a discount during special shipping & I do not like the offer button, bc even if the buyer agrees, I would not get the 99 or $1.99, so that is my issue, as a buyer,and even though I am selling now, I feel the same. I do see your point as well....

alyssahourglass I may offer up a certain email address only for offers, and prelude my post with set criteria: No low-balling, offers only considered true offers of up to & including 20% off. Also, offers only good for X amount of time, and no holds ever. Mainly, because I want to be buyer friendly while making money, we'll see how it works out. (TYVM for your help!)

katz2 @elleteigh Elle, Posh usually offers discounted shipping when the seller reduces the price by at least 10% lower than the historical lowest price. If the seller offers free shipping, the seller reduces the item price but $5 to make up for the $4.99 Posh shipping charge.
