hopesparkles @luvsmink Hi Suanne, I have 11 bulging/herniated/torn discs with intermittent Neuropathy into all but 1 limb. I also have Fibromyalgia, Insomnia, Reactive Airway Disease, Dizziness brought on by a Cortisol deficiency, Hemiplegic Migraine that mimics stroke and temporarily paralyzes me out of no where. My husband moved to FL already on 11/12/13 while I was having 9 surgeries from September to February leaving me all alone. Thankfully my dad and neighbor help out for errands as I don't drive. So I completely can empathize with whatever you are going through. Do you mind sharing what you have? And yes, thought of leaving people we know is scary, but living my life in agony terrifies me. Moving to FL will take away all the pain brought on by cold. Also it will be warm enough that I can walk and swim everyday to work on my rehab. It will be worth it in the long run.💐🙏🌈

luvsmink @hopesparkles ......Bless You!!!!!! You've been through so much, and it hope the warmer weather will help lessen the pain for you, along with other side effects I know you experience. I was hit by a semi truck in my car on 1/4/10; the first day back to work as a Mortgage Lender. The driver was texting, and hadn't slept in two days. I saw him out of the peripheral vision and tried to speed up so he wouldn't crush me. The semi hit the back of my drivers side and then turned me sideways and t-boned me in my drivers door. I had an out of body experience and watched most of it from above. When the truck finally was able to slow down enough, my car disengaged and moved backwards over several street curbs and signs, and landed on a live main gas line, which then erupted into my trunk. It was horrific, and the police, ambulance, fire trucks, etc wouldn't touch my car until the gas company could arrive to turn off the gas, because they thought I was already dead, and were afraid that my car would explode. The truck driver pulled me out of my car from the passenger side, because the truck had smashed my driver door and window and it wouldn't open. I had 5 herniated discs, a brain injury, and severe PTSD. I've had 19 procedures done on my back so far. I have a two level cervical disc replacement in my neck that prevents my head from turning. And a three level discectomy in the spinal lumbar L4/L5/S1 so I have titanium holding my spine together in both areas. After my last surgery, I broke out in shingles and could not begin physical therapy for three months, and during that time, my scar tissue turned to cement in my back. I've since been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Failed Back Syndrome, PTSD, Depression, Anemia, Hashimoto's Thyroid Disease, and Fatty Liver Disease. The list of meds is ridiculous, but I'm a candidate for a morphine pump. I refuse to do that, because I would lose all ability to drive. Currently, I am limited to 15 minutes of driving, sitting, standing, etc. I can lift no more than 10 pounds. To add to problems, last Sunday I had a very bad seizure and think that I have probably blown out my C7 as it was herniated, but not enough for surgery 5 years ago. I've been told to move to a warmer climate to help with pain; and also am permanently disabled. It sucks, but like you, I refuse to give up, or give in to this. It's been a long journey; my medical bills have surpassed $2 million. I've been slowly cleaning my closet of my beautiful things that I loved, simply because I can no longer use them or carry them. I so hope that you find some relief once you have moved and are back with your husband. My husband has been my caretaker for the past five years and it has been a strain on our marriage. hopesparkles ✨@luvsmink I'm so sorry to hear such a tragic story. I'm glad you have the will to keep going. Some days are easier than some and those are the days we have to be grateful for. I too have had PTSD on top of everything else. I've wished that our family & friends understood everything I'm going though better than they do and I think that's why it's easier for me to move. I've sat in this house for 250 days all alone going through this with very little help even though my husband has a huge family and I have 500 friends on FB. They have only come over 5 of those 250 days and only 1 of those days was a surgery day. Yet, my dad who takes care of my disabled mother (from medical issues vs my falling in a pot hole on my work parking lot) manages to come over 1-4 times a week every week to help with errands, chores, doctors/PT/massage appointments, etc. My neighbor helps as well especially when there is a showing for when realtors bring people to see the house. I will be so grateful when I've moved to FL and I can try to get some or most or all of my life back! You and I are blessed to have gone through these horrible things... To be inspirations to others... To show that Hope Sparkles ✨

jewelry_party Oh you have that natural beauty just beaming from you! I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. That's awesome that your a survivor! My Mom was diagnosed with her2nu a fast spreading breast cancer. She caught it at stage three. After 1 year of chemo and intense radiation, the doctor said your good but it'll be 5 years before we know if you're cancer free. That was 3 years ago. A few months ago she had to go to Stanford Hospital to have a checkup with a better doctor. He said she had calcifications in one breast and that it might be cancer again. She has had over the years several tumors removed from each breast, so when she heard that she might have cancer again , she opted to have a double masectomy. She is still having fevers and problems with the drains 5 weeks after surgery, but we saw her doctor today and he issued more pain pills and antibiotics. The best news (CANCER FREE!!!!!!!)

Thank you from the bottom of my 💜 @ckayej I started volunteering when I was 14 right after my grandmother died of from an 8 year battle with lung cancer when I was 13. Then I was 18 when I had my cancer. We've lost 16 people in our family including recently my 34 yr young cousin pictured above and have 7 more survivors including my mom, stepdad, stepbrother, grandpa, aunt, father-in-law and his sister. We've done Relay for Life for 17 years. Also I left a lucrative advertising job to go work at the American Cancer Society and I would still be working there if I hadn't fallen in a pothole on their parking lot 7 years ago. I'm unable to work now. Hence why I'm selling my lovelies on here. 🙏💗✨💐

I welcome all suggestions & help as they are all blessings! But, in fact went to Acupuncture monthly for three years and sometimes weekly. But due to our move and my husband living in Florida I don't have the extra $ yet from PM sales for acupuncture nor the feasibility of getting to there because I don't drive. The funny thing is that it was helping when I had a lot of pain and illnesses going on all at once, but now that I've leveled out I've seen more of an improvement from diet and exercise. Maybe once I'm in Florida I'll pick a new Acupuncturist and see if a new technique helps. Thanks for reminding me though! 😉💗✨💐

hopesparkles ✨Hi Mari @marifun 💐 I'm so sorry for your loss! I've recently lost my 34 yr young cousin to Colon cancer. I miss her greatly too & can empathize. And, yes, in the midst of that I myself am a Survivor along with my mom, stepdad, stepbrother, stepmother, grandpa, aunt, father-in-law and his sister, among tons of friends from doing Relay for Life for 17 years and volunteering for ACS for 27 years in total since I was 14 the year after my grandmother died of lung cancer when I was 13 not knowing 5 years later I would be battling at 18 going on 19. I've lost 15 family members to cancer either by blood or marriage. And, it's never easy. But, the American Cancer Society has had a hand in every advance in cancer research, treatment, patient services, advocacy, etc. In fact 54 ACS funded doctors have won Nobel Peace Prizes! So, thank you for your support and it was great meeting you too! I'm so grateful! 🙏💗✨

I have 8 survivors in my family and 16 who have passed and I have done nothing but give back to ACS since I was 14 the year after my grandmother died of cancer that she had since I was 5 to 13. We all have our stories, but it's how you use those stories. I choose to love people, help them, make them feel great like I did when I said you guys are a cute couple in addition to all the other sweet things I said to you AND I choose to refrain from hurting & insulting people. You were the one that Followed me. I only Follow back rule abiding closets who are polite. I had just moved her in with me she was 64 & working hard. I wanted her to relax & enjoy life like all of her friends. 3 months into the happiest days I can remember we got the diagnosis. It was a 10 moth battle. I didn't take my eyes Off her every single night & day. She was a single Mom & did the work of 3 parents. I love my grandmother also to Cancer her battle was 3 years . I admire anyone whom goes through the fight & ppl who are caregivers . I wish you the best of luck in your move 🙏

gettumgirl Christa...I will talk with you and several others on here in a moment for I have read the whole thread...however my spirit has lead me to speak with @julia_rose for a moment..I want you to know what you've done for your mom was the most selfless thing anybody could do!!!..you wanted to nurture here through her Cancer...and was there for here morning noon and night...your reward will be great I promise you that!!!!...I too wanted to be the care taker for my mom...but as they were getting the paperwork together from the hospital to release her to me...she fell into a sleep never to wake on this side again...so The Lord knows what's best even when we think WE KNOW what's best....I just had to let you know...you are a great person indeed...and you will see her again...so don't cry okay😘😘😘😘💨

hopesparkles ✨ Dear PFFs I'm sorry I haven't written back as I'm still getting over my Shingles which is very painful and itchy -and- dealing with the aftermath of a flooded basement while trying to sell my house on top of all my disabilities with very little help since hubby lives in FL (where we are moving to). julia_rose Get well soon I will do all I can to help. My Mom suffered from shingles so I know how nasty they can be.. We also have in common the flood "nightmare" my roof caved in due to heavy snowfall last January. My bedroom bathroom & my CLOSET flooded! I lost so much😢 my spouse tore our bedroom up & has yet to repair it.i have my items & PM items in every room of my home. Right after the flood I got 2 sales & bc I had suitcases and boxes everywhere i had to cancel my orders. Lastly I have a Lot of medical going on and every time I haul stuff around I hurt my back. Last year I sprained my back back countless times causing pulled muscles. I was in the hospital last week for my neck I pulled a muscle in my back and shoulder. Soooo I really know how it feels. My advice would be" No matter how bad you want to clean your flood stuff up" Don't over do it & get exhausted. Don't lift heavy boxes if you don't help it can wait. I'm so glad Poshmark turned out to be a loving & supportive community. I joined a few months after losing my Mom to Cancer. I had traders approaching me & had some mean girls come my way. I stuck it out & I'm so grateful I did bc this community has grown into a sisterhood I adore.. you & your family are in my prayers & I hope you make it safe happy & in good health to sunny fla. And yes I'll come visit you! Lol ⭐️🌊🌊🌊☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ just kidding Get Well 💋💋💋💋💋

I want to get your advice 1st. It turns out that on 9/30 I was offered to be a co-host! But, because I've had the flood then got sick with this agonizing Shingles, I only read the email on 11/1. PM wrote back today offering me 12/21 for my date. That's the bad news it's the day after the last day for Priority Mail to make it for Christmas. She said I can have any day on or after 12/21. What day should I pick since I'll be missing the Christmas rush?

hopesparkles ✨💗🙏 Shingles update: @closetenvy2 Melissa, I'm sorry to hear you had it too! I was put on the generic of Lyrica called Gabapentin for my 11 herniated discs 5 years ago. But, even with that, Tylenol and Morphine 24/7 I wanted to rip my skin off. Fortunately, now it has calmed down considerable. I fortunately got the antivirals started on day 2 or 3. Thank you for all the prayers and love! hopesparkles @ridinghood13 Thanks! One day at a time!! Btw, I've been on Gabapentin for 6 years for the 11 herniated discs, nerve impingements, Radiculopathy, etc. I had had the WORST side effects ever, but gradually got over most of them. So, when they upped my afternoon dose from 300mg to 600mg which is the same as my 6am & 10pm doses it wasn't that big a deal for me. Thanks for the support! 💖

longca1959 @hopesparkles Congrats Christa. . I sure hate to hear you have shingles on top of everything else you have been thru!! I have rods in my neck and back, scoliosis, psoriatic arthritis. Just fell in August fractured my face just had my second eye surgery last Friday. We moved in between all of this and had to get a new washing machine they hooked it up wrong and it flooded our new house. I have had my share of stress. My doctor warned me the other day to let go of some of it . I'm internalizing to much of it and that can cause more health issues. I will keep you in my prayers. I hope you are at the end of your shingles . I've known some pretty strong women that it has thrown them for a major loop ! I can't imagine moving and having it . Good thing your party is scheduled far enough that you can plan for it. Can't believe it's a Christmas one already! We'll take care . I will be there to share your closet and your picks 🙏💖🙏I wish you the best!💃

kamshaft It is good to write it out to talk it out to resolve things so thank you to both ladies I did not see the first comment but got a notification for the second comment when I returned home last night read both comments and act accordingly I tried to keep my communication brief but I felt alone there were a lot of words sent my way and then especially after I went to sleep I am not normally a silent person but you already know I don't feel that comfortable communicating like this on a thread or a wall so I will say this thank you both for caring for seeking resolution for forgiveness for moving forward. Reading that you are a cancer survivor tells me you're a fighter and are full of inner strength whether you feel it or not. My mother was a cancer survivor for 25 years and I would have to say she had inner strength and mental discipline like no other I've met. hopesparkles ✨ Thank you for writing me last night @pfassionista It was nice to know you were not ganging up on me too! I was grateful for Liz standing up for me @ lizstyle as I'm completely 💔 over how 1 Posher I Follow in particular treated me. There was no need to report me to pm_editor & the CEO manish before knowing exactly what the situation was as they had no clue what was going on and had it completely backwards! I don't know if you know my whole mini bio Marianne but I donate 20% of everything I sell to the American Cancer Society and so sometimes I don't make the much needed money I need to. But, as a 23 year Survivor since I was 18 going on 19 who has lost 17 people to Cancer in my family, I know how important the funds are to help with cures, treatments, services, education and advocacy. So even though I haven't worked in 7 years from a fall in a pot hole & have 5 disabilities, recent illness and new diseases like Shingles & a Steroid Crisis make medical costs high, recent flood meant spending $3,000 on new plumbing, that my hubby has been in FL already for work so I live alone unable to drive for the past 15 months with only my dad and a neighbor checking in a couple times a week and therefore if I'm too dizzy on a day without visitors I don't eat as I can't walk to the kitchen, need moving truck money for when we do sell the house, etc... I still donate to ACS as they fund every cancer and of the 128 Nobel Peace Prizes ever awarded 47 of them have gone to ACS funded doctors & researchers! Every advance in cancer has been touched by ACS funds. With that said I just lost my 34 year cousin to Colon cancer this summer, my 60 year old aunt to non-smokers Lung Cancer in December who we had a funeral for Saturday and my 93 year old grandpa decided to go to heaven on 1/2/15 to be with them and my grandma who was a 32 year Survivor and died for other causes. I'm going through so much pain, agony and grief that I come to Posh to be with my Posh Family to take my mind off of it. And up until now you all have been so wonderful, kind, supportive, patient and loving! Most days I feel useless but when Posh said I could consolidate my 3 "mutually agreed upon glitch" incidents into one email along with anyone else I knew about, it gave me a chance to help them and my PFFs without it being too laborious on me as every key stroke or tap is painful (thankfully I was able to voice dictate most of this). But, after being attacked and reported even though that Posher had no clue what the listing was for I'm so 💔 as I trusted her and all the PFFs to be respectful! And I have cried through the night 😪 I'm going through too much pain and grief and if other women can't be kind and respectful in my own closet then maybe I should move on? I don't know yet as I've been a Party Co-Host, have over 100 HPs, Top Rated, Fast Shipper and am hopeful to be a SU so I might ask a core group of PFFs in addition to you before leaving PM what you all think?✨

And, yes some like you were trying to make it a civil conversation, but 1 in particular crossed the line at threatening me, verbally attacking me and tagging the pm_editor along with manish, Poshmark's CEO all because they had no clue the intent of the listing... To only catalog those glitches where BOTH parties had no clue it happened AND mutually agreed they never wanted it to happen. Had this Posher asked for clarification maybe none of this drama would have been ever inflicted on me! It took so much out of me that I'm exhausted and can't even return the hundreds of shares and congratulations from my 4 HPs last night. Sigh... 😔✨

hollystrawberry My father has suffered with shingles for many years, and also lives in FL. We both advocated for the medical marijuana bill, as it is the only thing so far to help relieve his insufferable pain and discomfort which he's not able to work through. He travels to MI with his sister, my aunt, who is a full time MI resident with fibromyalgia to take advantage of this wonderful treatment when things are bad. I hope that you find the regiment that works for you, and that you remain happy, healthy, and full of beautiful light ✨ happy poshing to you my dear, may you find peace in the small and wonderous, and let it help your mind ease into a place of oneness 🙏

Ok so I know I cant use flat rate boxes to ship but when I went to the post office they said I could use the regular priority mail boxes but the ones they gave me say regional on the bottom. But they don't say flat rate and also they said it was ok. So I was wanting to ask someone who knows a little more than the rest of us

Please feel free to check out the tips I have throughout my closet and in a group I'm a part of called the Official User Forum @official_forum Lastly, you'll want to share your items as often as you can so that other Poshers have a greater chance of seeing your closet. Plus, it keeps all your new items above your sold items. A lot of Poshers stop scrolling when they see sold items. Hope these help too! 💖✨

hopesparkles ✨💖 I'm so sorry @mandapanda83 Amanda, this is the 1st message I've seen. I'm not sure if you know but I have 5 disabilities and my hubby had to move to FL for work on 11/12/13. I've been very ill. There are days I don't eat because I can't get to the kitchen much less Posh. I get 500-1000 notifications a day. And it's very hard to keep up. Before someone can Co-Host their closet has to be vetted by Poshmark. They know that I personally donate 20% of my profit to the American Cancer Society. I've never asked/solicited for any donation from anyone. I'm just letting people know what happens to 20% of the profit after I get my earnings. Anyone can do anything they want with their profit. If I was wealthy I could donate 100% of the profit to charity if I chose to do so. What Poshmark doesn't want is people having listings specifically for auctions for items, raffles, or just a donation where people are asked to donate $25 or some denomination through their fundraising website that takes people to a charity website outside of Poshmark. Hope that helps clarify the difference between what I do with my profit and what others are doing by asking for direct donations. ✨ As for the rest of what my money is for... The huge flood in the house $3,000 plumbing bill, $3,000 medical bills, and to move down to Florida to be with my husband to live behind Walt Disney World not for "Disney trips". He moved to Florida on 11/12/13 for work. I have 5 disabilities plus illnesses and I can not take the cold up here in MD so we're moving to Florida. I had to stay up here for 9 outpatient surgeries, 7 moving sales, getting the house updated to put up for sale, then the flood happened, then I got Shingles, etc. So as much as I wish the money was for vacations it's so that we can move behind the Magic Kingdom. Disney sold their most northern land to my favorite builder Meritage who is building a 600 house master planned community with a marketplace, a zero entry pool, club house, & a fireworks viewing pad on top of 1 of 3 club house buildings. I'm so looking forward to living in the Indigo model of Watermark. ✨ You should know as a Party Co-Host I'm diligent about the rules and only follow rule abiding closets. I too coach sellers on not taking P nor promoting outside websites in addition to not selling inspired items because it's against the law; flammable items like perfume, nail polish, hair spray; any other liquids like bath & body products such as shampoo, moisturizers, lotions, shaving cream & hair removal products, other Health & Wellness like supplements, razor blades; men's, children's infants & pet clothes & items; cosmetics, swimsuits and undergarments that are not --NWTs--; Containers for makeup or jewelry; Electronics; Media like books, CDs, DVDs, & Games; Toys; Collectibles; Housewares; listings with profanity or that are vulgar; etc. Basically anything that is --not-- Women's Fashion, Accessories, and NWTs Cosmetics is against the rules and cannot be sold on Poshmark. ✨ So again, thank you for stopping my closet, the cheer and congratulations, looking out for me with your help in what you perceived as me maybe breaking a rule, etc. I greatly appreciate the Posh ❤️ you being nice and the caring intent of your intended help! 🙏 Thanks sweetheart! You're so ungrateful... I took time I could've been selling my items helping you! My gut told me I should have blocked you when you tried to tell me I was breaking a rule that I knew I was NOT breaking, I explained why I wasn't breaking the rule, then 3 comments up you thanked me for me taking the time to go through your closet to -help- you & that you "learned so much" because in deed you have broken about 10 rules, but THEN after you thanked me you go off on me telling me somewhere that I had broken the rules again?!? There's something seriously wrong with you! Not to mention you've got more facts wrong! I never told you how much I make! I'm not going on trips with infinity pools! I'm moving! I'm disabled and I'm seeing my hubby for my birthday! While staying at Disney to visit the builder of the community we will live, I've offered for my hubby to shop for my PFFs - not go on shopping sprees with my money! I have to save money to pay for the $3,000 plumbing that flooded my house last year delaying my move! Btw, my husband moved to FL on 11/12/13 for work while I was in the middle of 9 surgeries for the agonizing pain from injuries from falling in a pothole when I worked at the American Cancer Society where I worked to help save lives! Speaking of, how dare you come on my cancer survivor listing and attack me! I didn't survive cancer for the past 23 years & lose 3 family members in the past 6 months to cancer just to get berated by the likes of you!! This is a tough time for our family as this makes the 4th loss in the past year. I'm hoping all my PFFs will be patient as I return the 3,000+ notifications while I've been gone since the 11th. I was made a SU on the 14th so I have a lot to catch up on in addition to things here at home. Which as most of you know I'm disabled living alone while hubby has been living in FL for work since 11/12/13 while I had 9 OP surgeries and get the house sold so I can move to FL too. jodisjewelry This is so awesome. My dad was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer in 1996 and given 6 months to live. He did a trial study and was he only one to survive. A few years ago he started driving again, and despite the cancer and 6 heart attacks, by he grace of God he is still with us!!! 👀🙏🏻🎉💥🎊😀

As a 23 yr Survivor who's lost 18 family members including 3 this yr & is 1of7 Survivors in family, I've donated $1,250 over past 2 yrs to ACS. Only earned $971 from Poshing, but donated 128% not a mere 20% as promised. She obviously knows NOTHING about me, my family or what I donate which btw is hard as I haven't worked since '08 as I'm disabled. Not sure I'm going to Posh anymore.✨

I have a spinal cord stimulator, it's too late but I will tell you my story, not nearly as dramatic as Suzanne's but so painful nonetheless. Chronic pain is something no one can even fathom til they go thru it. Huge congrats on selling your home. I am thrilled for you Christa!!!!

salrae What a great thing to do! Congrats on all of the cancer years. It can be done with prayers and research but I thing the main reason is within ourselves. My Mom beat 5 different types of cancer over 50 years, she was a fighter. Passed away at 89 from pneumonia! God bless and thanks for the fight🙏🙏🙏🙏

I was 40, when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, luckily for me I had a breast reduction and that's how it was found, the Dr. Said I would have been gone in a year. I had, had a mammogram 2 weeks before and it was not detected. I had the breast reduction came out and 2 days later had a double mastectomy. My kids were young and when I came home my 13 year had to tell me my husband had moved out with someone he met online.

I urge every lady to get a state of the art mammogram. style_shanty Aww, I am so sorry! I'm a cat lover too and I also had to put a cat to sleep for that same reason. It was horrible. Now I can look back and remember how awesome he was and all the funny things he did that made me smile. I believe that animals go to heaven too. They're up there playing together :-)

An animal can bring so much unconditional love into your life. They love you no matter what, never judge and they are always there. They sense when you are in pain and try to help. They bring so much joy and do the silliest things that will always make us smile. I am so sorry for your loss.
