I've worked with a lot of terminally ill, and it was usually the family members, the people left grieving the loss of a beloved mother/father/friend/confident/wife/husband/offspring that my heart went out to the most. Spend the time you have left stroking her hair, holding her hand, soothing an ache, tenderly ministering to her needs and revealing to her every little memory you have of a moment in time when she made you feel better about yourself, when she lifted your trembling chin to kiss your forehead after a neighborhood boy made fun of you or you fell off your bike, or whatever the case may be. Let her know how deeply you felt that love, and that you are grateful and proud that she's your mother. 💜👭
