katherine369@oddyssey315 What kind of cancer? If you don't mind me asking? I have had all the radiation I'm allowed. When I was first diagnosed was July 2005 and I had 40 radiations.😕 not fun at all. 8 years later, no radiation, but I get 3 chemos instead of 2. Lucky me 😜

granijani🎀Hello Katherine, I'm Jani in Alaska, I just now saw that you asked me about my "C"! I have eight spots on my liver & two on my right lung. But, I'm VERY lucky to have a doctor who believes in genotyping the biopsies & having a targeted application towards the spots ( I HATE the word tumor, it in itself, sounds like bad news! ) Spots can be wiped away & I'm a FIRM believer that's what's going to happen! Even if I'm holding what's left of my hair out of the toilet, while I sing the morning blues! By the afternoon, I've coated my tummy or taken the right amount of meds to stop that nonsense! I've only lost ten pounds this time! Got my fingers crossed! Plus, I've been able to stay away from pain killers so far! I'm happy with me this time! And I am living proof that hair grows back! (giggle) What is your battle? My first was breast! I won that one. I have you on my prayer chain at church! You're gonna be a WINNER!! I just know it! God Bless... I hope you write me! katherine369@granijani So nice to hear from you. I have skin carcinoma stage 4, because it spread to my lymph nodes. I've been very lucky. I've been feeling good, and I'm on my third treatment on Tuesday. That will be half way. My platelets started off at about 400K, but their now down to 88K, hoping they'll be over 100K by Tuesday so I can have my treatment. So nice to hear from you. I pray in our mighty Lord Jesus's name for healing for you, strength for you AND your family-joy in ALL your procedures- thank the LORD IN ALL THINGS! But mostly , I pray for peace. I have End Stage Liver Disease and am currently waiting patiently for a transplant. I take 15 types of medication 2x's a day endless hospitalizations-it has been a rough road but Jesus has made it amazing! I was an alcoholic but stopped drinking the day I was diagnosed (feb. 13, 2010) they told me I had 3 DAYS to live... I told them that's not Jesus plan and I will Live!!! Whelp her I am- and you will continue to be here as well... JESUS HAS A PLAN FOR YOU! fembot188@katherine369 - best thing you can do is rest to help your body make the platelets - don't let anything stress you - your rest is most important. Drink lots of water and green tea. I know you want to be done - good job! I know it's very hard. Last one! Yay!

katherine369@fembot188 I just got off the phone with my chemo nurse, and my platelets are only 47. They have to be at least 100 for my chemo on Tuesday. I take papaya pills and do a lot of resting. Any other recommendations?

fembot188Mostly rest, eat what you can of whatever you really like, lots of water and green tea (caffeinated only in the morning). The Dr. said the rest part was the most important. Of course prayer helps too. I hope depression is not plaguing you. I know how hard this is to miss a session. I know you want it to be over. Next time it's over. Stay positive - you will be back to normal soon!
