Congratulations Tamara! ๐ I'd be so grateful for a HP! ๐ I'm moving from MD - FL for medical reasons as I have 5 disabilities at a age of 41. My hubby moved while I was having 9 surgeries from September - February. Love to get things sold quick so I can live with hubby. I have clear photos/descriptions, I'm a Fast Shipper, & I follow all Posh rules. When I'm feeling well I try to network with Poshers like you/love to Share. I'm grateful as the $ is going to our move but most importantly I donate 20% of all sales to the American Cancer Society as I'm a 22 year Survivor who just lost her 34 year young cousin to Colon cancer. @tallison hi Tamara-here goes, you have probably heard some of this before, so I apologize in advance.
-choose your picks in advance by "liking" them. You will most likely go over 100 on the first go round so use your host pick like list to checkout the closets housing the host picks for items that are not allowed, trading and p a y p a l, etc. this can help you whittle down your list.
-I have personally been very careful not to pick items from closets that do not follow the rules and I think it has helped me to get multiple hosting invites.
-come up with something to say to congratulate the posher receiving a host pick from you and make it into a keyboard shortcut.
-Once the party begins everything you share during those 2 hours will go to the host pick feed, so if you want to share your items to the party, ask a Posh friend to do it for you.
- once the party starts go to your likes and share each one, notify the host pick recipient using your shortcut and then unlike the item. Repeat this for all your likes. i would remove all other likes that you do not intend to be host picks so that you can just clear your likes the night of the party.
- i use two devices during the party to make sure that my shared likes actually make it into the host pick feed. There is a glitch that messes with the likes so that you may go through all the steps of sharing an item, etc and it never gets into the host pick feed. If you have a second device you can check the host pick feed on that device to see if items make it into the feed.
- turn off your notifications a half hour to an hour before the party, otherwise you will be distracted constantly.
-sharing your 100 items will not take the whole two hours so you should have enough time to check to see if all your likes made it into the feed.
- the first time I hosted each of the hosts shared 2 items from each other host. That way we each got ten host picks without having to give ourselves the picks. We can discuss this amongst the co hosts to see if we want to do it that way. The last time, we did not do that and I only shared 1 or 2 of my items as host picks. I had so many picks on my list that I ended up deleting my own. I have noticed that community members are particularly sensitive to hosts over sharing their own items to the host pick feed.

I do intend to share from closets that follow the rules for sure :). As for the email coordination....talking about it ahead of time sounds like a good plan. However, ever since joining all I have heard is don't give your email address out. So I am not really too fond of the email part. Sorry ladies.

Thanks lady! That means a lot coming from you :) here's the two best pieces of advice I got: comment, paste, share, unlike, repeat. It's so you can get your congrats on each of your items and take it off your list. For some things that I wanted to keep in my likes I unliked and then liked so it moved to the top (I shared from the bottom up). Also, PACE yourself. I had my hundred or so picks and I had timed things so that I shared 20-30 per half hour. But it didn't really work out like that :) point being, don't share too fast. You have plenty of time and you don't want to run out of picks! One more thing that was helpful; I shared one or two and then checked the feed to make sure they showed up. If they didn't, it would mean another host picked it. I also kept my eye out for any closets that the co hosts shared bc if I had their closet too, then I went to my back ups just so that the most people possible got picked. I had about 15 back ups at the top of my list so I would share from there if I saw a first choice closet already shared. It helped to have a pad and paper next to me to keep track of that. @lizstyle Correction: I just reread the info. 3 months is how long a person should wait until they ask for another party. I love your support and enthusiasm. I am swamped with helping 10K people and lots of very important personal matters. So I have not written any e-mails about repeat parties yet. Lots of great Poshers are out there. I try to show support whenever I can. So I will write a short letter on @tallison's behalf today and let you know if I get a response. Have a great weekend. ๐๐๐
