Hi ladies, here are some basic tips on spotting authentic Louis Vuitton v FAKES!! I hope this helps. I am outraged by the fakes being sold on PM and the seller swears they are authentic. Type in scammers and you'll see whom I'm referring to. Stay safe and always buy authentic. The fakes and inspired help support terrorism and black market crime. These people need to be stopped, it's a crime people, especially when sent through the mail.

doublecat22I purchased an LV from brandauthentic and I’m thinking it’s fake. Anyone know anything about brandauthentic?

May 19Reply

Is this listing inappropriate? Report Listing

tsaia1977im going crazy. I found a LV at a estate sale today. Small bag. all of the above ring true to authentic. I took to high end consignment and woman said her "gut" would say fake but she really couldn't tell. Anyone reading this know an authenticator?

Sep 28Reply

landerites@tsaia1977 , Hi Tara. You should contact LV and ask how the process works. I've heard of women doing this; however, I'm not sure if you have to personally take it in or send pictures. I don't know what the cost of this is, when you find out, will you post it here so we can use it as a reference? I will share this so it can get some attention.

Sep 28Reply

tsaia1977Im sorry, i never saw your response! I will let you know what i come up with. There is a LV on Newbury street here i imagine (never had cause or moola to find out) ill check. Thanks!

Sep 30Reply

landerites@tsaia1977 , I am really curious too. I hope you scored big time and purchased an authentic bag. What type of LV is it? Is it a speedy like the one listed in the picture? :)

Sep 30Reply

tsaia1977No and i dont know what type it is. Smaller than the speedy, im pretty clueless on LV thats why i have never gotten into purchasing them at auction/estate sales. I wouldnt know a find from a flake. I just scooped this up cause it was some old ladys and it was cheap. I also got a "made in Korea" fendi but that one was more $ who knows lol

Sep 30Reply

iysh@tsaia1977 I know some wonderful ladies on PM that are great at authenticating! you should take pictures and upload, clear pictures, especially of the date code, stitching and hardware, tag me on the listing :)

Oct 08Reply

nami001@landerites Thank you for putting this up. This is great info. I've seen closets that have replicas and buyers asking if it's authentic. Sharing 🌸

Oct 10Reply

landerites@nami001 , Hi Emy, thanks!! I too see people selling fakes stating they're authentic. I become incensed when I see this happening. When I first joined posh I kept my mouth shut; however, now I have no problem calling people on their bull. I'm sure I've made some people pretty angry but I don't care. It's wrong and completely unethical. I actually borrowed this from another awesome posher who was kind and said for me to post this in my listings as well. 💕 Are you aware of any users whom are selling replicas claiming they are authentic? I have no problem contacting a friend @justice4all and having her post their names to her page. You should check out her page, you'll be shocked as to what you read and see. I'm glad we connected. Best to you.

Oct 10Reply

nami001@landerites Hi Trilyn! I just started on Posh a little over a week ago and I've seen lots of replicas but I didn't think to note the closet names. I don't follow them back because I don't want to be associated with that. I've seen closets that state it's a replica on the listing and always wonder how it gets past filters, if there are any. I'm a huge LV fan and have a few so I also don't like seeing people getting duped into believing it's the real thing when it's not. I'm also a huge MK fan and I didn't know replicas were out there but when I read the comments, buyers ask if it's authentic and the seller will say "inspired". I was shocked to see there are MK replica watches out there. Thank you for the info. I'm going to follow your friend. Have a good evening. Aloha !

frettaWhat a great post!

amyjis2q4u@tsaia1977 ~ (mypoupette.com) for authentication services if your not close to an LV boutique :). Wow, im new to PM and I didn't think there would be fakes sold here,... but I guess you can't stop em all can ya'? ;(.. ugh.. I just hate that.. at least you're protected here!

Oct 17Reply

laideSweetie great post!!🍀I see here lot fake bags with guarantee authenticity and when you tag the people the bag is not real they are really very bad and aggressive🍀I really some times thug the sellers know very good selling fakes and try scam people🍀it's really great post and will share🍀have wonderful evening🍀

Oct 25Reply

landerites@laide , Hi Eva. Thank you so much for finding me and following me. I am glad you found me. I would love to know you better. You look like a special and dear friend of mine. She's Cuban and her name is Michelle Molina. She's an immigration an naturalization attorney in Miami. You two share a striking resemblance. I agree regarding the fake bags and people knowingly selling them as authentic. It breaks my heart people trust these people and dump hundreds of dollars on a misconception, or basically a lie. I am not too fond of bullies and liars and I no longer calling them out on their bull here on Posh. I don't like confrontation but again, I can't stand people whom take advantage of others. It's wrong. Again, thank you so much for the Follow and shares. You are very kind 💕

Oct 25Reply

landerites@laide , Hi Eva. My husband is mostly Czech decent. He was born here in the states. We have always wanted to go there as a family. Back in the 90's when Slobodan Milošević was being horrible, did you witness any of that? I hope your family was safe. I'm sorry to bring up that name. I know a few families whom escaped when he was having his power struggles. I am so glad we connected.

Oct 25Reply

laide@landerites I'm sorry sweetie I don't know Svobodan Molšocič but he is no on Czech but in Serbia..Im happy to have new friend here🍀I no have here any Family only from my husband.but happy for new friend here💕

Oct 25Reply

landerites@laide , hi Eva. I'm so glad you didn't have to deal with that man. I was in undergrad when he was unleashing his wrath on humanity. I was political science and pre law in college and followed that horrible situation closely. You are far from family for sure but I hope your heart doesn't ache too much. Where do you and your husband live? Would you ever go back and live there with your husband?

Oct 25Reply

laideSweetie Im in Denver.I wish visit my family in Czech but it's difficult..you can save my contact and txt me any time 720 220 8968🍀

Oct 25Reply

landerites@laide , Hi Eva. We moved to Asheville last year from Montana and prior to that we lived in Wyoming. Denver is a great city. We always liked going there. Denver is definitely far from your family. I will absolutely contact you.

fashionista143Great info! You're a doll for posting it and helping your posh sisters! :)

Oct 31Reply

landerites@fashionista143 , Hi Gia, I love to help people out. The more knowledge we have as consumers, the more power we have to be in control of the market. If we all stick together and say enough is enough is the day these things will change. I love women to be empowered by knowledge and have confidence in their purchasing decisions. I do not like bullies or people whom pray on others innocence so it's time we take charge and bring the people selling fakes as authentic to justice. 💕

Oct 31Reply

fashionista143I couldn't have said it better myself! Posh is a great place! We just need to weed out the ones who are trying to spoil it for us! Fab closet by the way! :)

Oct 31Reply

tsaia1977Just had to tell you, the bag was a fake (kinda expected) but I gave it to my daughter and you should see the looks we get when we go to CVS and she has a LV purse in her hand toddling around. Cracks me up.

Nov 03Reply

landerites@tsaia1977 , Hi Tara. I bet the looks with her carrying that bag are to die for!! Hahaha. I love it. I hope you are well. Can you tag me in the tops you wanted to send me? I scrolled through your closet but couldn't remember which ones they were. 😘

metalpetalsHi! I just saw this... great post!! Carol Diva is the authenticator I use, she is GREAT!!! You have to pay her on that site that they won't let me name...( PA pl) (carol@caroldiva.com I believe). She charges only $7.00 and she is very fast- just a few days. After paying her thru PA pl, you email her pictures of either the listing, or the bag/slg if you have already received.... She will let you know for certain if the piece is authentic or a replica, and will also help you get your money back if you need help. She is a wonderful person who provides an amazing service!!! I just wanted to let you know that she's out there, and she's awesome.

Nov 29Reply

iloveu2piecesMy aunt just went to Louis Vuitton and got it authenticated... It ended up being a replica so she ended up just buying a new one... Stay safe spend the money and buy authentic you won't be sorry.. 😉😃

Feb 05Reply

balmainbrunchThis is amazing @landerites

Feb 05Reply

landerites@balmainbrunch , Hi Lora, this is just regarding the speedy's. I am going to compile a listing regarding other types of LV because I see so many other LV's which are also counterfeit. I'll tag you once I get it listed.

Feb 11Reply

landerites@posh_tips , hi, absolutely!!!! I would love to check out your page!!! Thank you for messaging me because I love to follow like minded women who are honest and want their potential buyers to purchase with confidence. I know, it makes me sickened to see people selling fake bags and at such a steep price. These sellers need to read the federal rules regarding the selling of inspired bags and the trouble they can get into. Have a great day. :)

Feb 22Reply

starwears@landerites hi!! This info is great! Did you find your Manhattan bag? If not, I have one for sale check it out if interested.

aligutscheHi @landerites thanks for this great info! Gets me going when people post replicas on here!! I always buy authentic and can't stand fake items. Number one, it's illegal and two it's not fair to the authentic makers. Thanks again for this info, hopefully it can help get the word out. Appreciate it!

peachandpatina@tsaia1977 hi can you tag the ladies who can authenticate? I would like them to authenticate a Gucci bag I purchased.

Oct 11Reply

rashemondragonIs there any way i could talk to you ? Im looking at a wallet currently on poshmark thats seems real but i want to double check. Im college student who works hard for their money and im just feared of getting scammed on a christmas gift for someone thank you

Dec 09Reply

reygan_07Some can have stitching on the bottom. Bought my purse at an LV store and it has the stitching. Or is it just certain styles you are referring to? Thanks!

Dec 20Reply

kim5461There is a neverfull posted now, the date code checks out but it looks like there is a piece of plastic covering one of the pieces of hardware on the inside...I don’t think an authentic would have that?

Jan 07Reply

areding3If It does not have the code on it, is it always fake?

Jun 17Reply

areding3I have a purse that I cannot confirm and it does not have a code but idk if that means that it is fake or not...

Jun 17Reply

thiratiBut Poshmark guaranty over 500. How are these people take the money? I have always wonder.

Sep 10Reply

boyanacampbell@landerites I’m incensed as well! I can’t believe PM allows this. How can they authenticate so many obvious fakes. Also I’m looking for Louis Vuitton Chantilly PM and there’s literally dozens of them on PM. Several Poshers use each other’s pictures. I made some comments on someone’s site and she yelled at me removed my comments and blocked me. PM won’t help!! Buyer beware.

Feb 08Reply

taramarsit@landerites and @tsaia1977 hey ladies I would love to chat with y'all and also maybe do some trading with u also. I also have some questions about a few items regarding authenticity thanks and I hope to hear from you xoxoxo😊

Mar 05Reply

Jun 19Reply

nikkiincoThank you for posting this. The amount of fakes and fake sellers selling the fakes is making shopping for any designer item on Poshmark a terrible expierence. Is there a better resale website out there for these items?

Aug 14Reply

nookandcranniesHi I was reading a post about Louie Vuitton bags and I have one that was gifted to me which I believe is real. I posted it on posh and everything was fine for a bit , then I got a message saying I wasn’t allowed to sell replicas. I would not knowingly do this. Can you or do you know somebody who can help me see if it is real or not. Thak you very much

Mar 16Reply

jessicawilso611hello dear . great post . much appreciated .. I've recently come acrossed a bag that I purchased and it's owner thought it to be fake .. I know why but she didn't look further into the first questionable are . (handles). they were poorly sewn possibly even by hand lol, but I looked further into the detail around the pockets and found some pretty favorable points such as correct sticking number of stitches and ect ..

Aug 29Reply

jessicawilso611also the lining is likely to be incorrect as well. wondered if somebody tried to bring it back to life by adding different lv handles as well as lining . possibly due to a spill or ?. any idea who may be able to look and know what I have ?

Aug 29Reply

jessicawilso611I will post in my closet tonight ..

mrskrpeebles Hi, purchased a handbag last night fr @hold_erwendy & received my email following the sale. Now they have no listings. Searched scammer didn't see seller. Contact with seller to cancel isn't available. I've messaged Poshmark concerning this. Is it correct I will have to wait 7 days then if they don't ship anything I can request a refund? If they ship something not authentic as advertised I don't accept the release of funds & do a proper request to return and refund. I appreciate your help.

Oct 26Reply

lindseymason84@landerites does anyone know if melwilks26 has real/authentic listings?

Dec 11Reply

bookwitch1970@mrskrpeebles I am in the same situation.

Mar 09Reply

mrskrpeebles@bookwitch1970 oh no I'm sorry to hear that. Dispute and do return immediately. Take pictures of flaws & imperfections all that prove it's a fake. Postmark protected me.

Mar 09Reply

mrskrpeebles@bookwitch1970 my advice is for if they do send you the item. if they don't ship I'm the time frame you can just request the release of your funds. But it will go through the time frames for the process. Don't accidentally hit the button to accept.

Mar 09Reply

bookwitch1970@mrskrpeebles thank you so much for the advice!

Mar 09Reply

trcastle@metalpetals thank you for the information this will help me so much! 😊

nicollewoodard@landerites I agree I just started purchasing trusting that the live parties I purchase from are real. I’ve been sold some fakes and Poshmark is authenticating some of my bags right now. Now that I have had two weeks to really learn more I’m going to be surprised if it’s real by their standards. I’m nervous. It’s really frustrating to have to figure out if our bags are real😂🤪awful to spend hundreds and thousands and it not be real…so messed up!fingers crossed!
