shadowsgems Hello, Nice to meet you on Posh's Web site. My name is Ann. Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mom and husband 4 years ago. I wish I had started on Posh sooner. I started this past June. I have chatted with so many kind & helpful people. I enjoy chatting with people as much as selling. This wonderful your doing Posh.I have found chatting with people has been healing for me. Time helps as it gave me a new perspective on life. I realized that I don't need clothes to be happy. Don't get me wrong, I still love clothes and buy them. I don't put sentimental value as I had done before. It took me 4 years to realize. The holidays are difficult each year that has gone by. All I have is a son. My father has been gone for 10 years. I always try to help others in need. People& animals. I have two rescue dogs. Lucky & Rufus. Poodle & papillon. They are treated like King's. Today is National Hello Day. Enjoy yourself life goes by quickly.

haggardkathy Good morning sweetie! ! I am Kathy Haggard. I also lost my Moma to cancer 7 years ago. She was my best friend, my shopping buddy, my run-to when things were going bad or good. I still catch myself thinking I can't wait to tell Moma. Well to be honest I tell her now but I ask God to pass the message on to her for me. Since she's gone I don't find going shopping fun anymore. I'm sure you feel the same as I do that nothing is the same anymore. We are just working on a new and completely different life. God has given me the strength to live. I lost my cousin, a spirited warrior and fashionista on Thanksgiving in 2010, with her birthday just two weeks after that. It makes the start of the holidays bittersweet. This was the first year I made it through Thanksgiving without falling apart until her birthday came. With time the best memories shine through. 🌺

shari23114 @chioblu Chioblu I stayed with a uncle by marriage in his villa in Roma. You might have heard of Franco Zeffirelli. He has Villas all down the coastline of Italy going towards Sicily where I was heading. He gave us a sweet little convertible sports car to take and go with. We stayed in the most gorgeous villas fully staffed therefore we didn't have to pay hotels nor food either. I spent a total of 2 months just travel the most beautiful coastline. Learned the hard way when I needed gas about the siesta. Lol. But it was worth having to stop in Positano. I think I spelled that wrong. Took a airboat to the isle of Capri where the food was to die for. I love Italian food and I also cook it. Nice to meet you too!

I'm (almost) 35, married (with pets), LOVE traveling and love love LOVEEEE doing my own nails (I am obsessed with zoya polishes and have like 60 of them.) Much like you, I also lost my mom to cancer recently (2014), and the way she lived her life has been a huge inspiration in the way I posh. When she would go through my closets she would always tell me, look at all these beautiful things not being used!! And I would always let her take things to give away. After she passed & 9 months of sulking & giving numerous stuff away. I stared at all this stuff that u are right, no longer made me smile. Found Posh and it has been what entertains most of my days for now. Makes me smile to gift wrap my orders. My hubby does the mailing as he is happy another hobby occupies my days! I lost a sister 15 yrs ago with liver cancer. 5 sisters out of 7 we have all had one kind of Cancer lost my mom 5 yrs ago with Breast cancer. She was 81 so I can understand what your going through. You are beautiful and I love your closet, so you need to take care of yourself and stay clear of that Cancer.😘

One of my PFFs, @tippiejax posted a flashback photo of her mother the other day, which inspired me to do the same. I don't know if you are ready yet, but it was a celebratory experience to share images of my mother with the Posh community. She passed when I was 11, but no matter the age, it is a devastating loss. chioblu @baglady58 the week following my moms loss.(both collectors) & has much as she gave away, when it came to packing and cleaning & finding items I never saw her wear. I found myself detached because we both thought we didn't have a lot. So each family member held on to a couple items that meant something to her & them... So what I sell or what was vintage jewelry that I sell, I use it to go eat or do something she loved to do.... Makes me feel better... 😓💐💝

I am truly sorry for ur loss since nobody else will understand until they are in our shoes ... But being blessed I want someone to show them off too.... 😉 I think u know what I mean,... jade20062006 Sorry,to hear about your mom. My mom is a breast cancer survier. I lost both my aunts from cancer. I have two daughters and It scares me to think how much at risk they are. My girls are 25 and 18. So i have educated them on it. Stay strong and god bless.
