ginabj This is a great idea if the one who inspects is certified in that area. There are diamonds, purses etc. which are completely different in certification. Is this possible and if so will the buyer get a certification notice from inspector with quality inspection? Then that would be great .

rumdrop hmmm grateful and at the same time suspicious as there are so many so-called "professional authenticators" out there who simply lacks experience, and it is also very common for multiple authenticators to disagree on authentication decisions. not to mention it is literally impossible to authenticate every single piece as all brands change their style frequently. I think this is actually bad for buyers...

yemaya3 Ok I read through all the sites and I stop shopping on Posh because I have been ripped off twice and never heard from the women I purchased items from I found it to be distasteful and dishonest. I buy designers items and got things that were fake I don't care for the new service because how do we k ow the person is trained and certified?? Unless you go to the actual store where the items are sold and have the real people look them over.

purpleandlace @pm_editor I am EXTREMELY LIVID right now. I sold a Valentino handbag; it was purchased Sent to PM HQ was told it was COUNTERFEIT & my whole closet was shut down. I have an E-mail CONFIRMING AUTHENTICITY FROM VALENTINO CUSTOMER CARE. Had to pay $20 to have my bag sent back to me I received my bag back with MARKS ON IT that were NOT there before I mailed it. Clearly you don't have people with the proper credentials to authenticate designer handbags. @manish

Really concerns me that this could skip through the cracks and your team nearly destroyed a $3000 bag. What credentials do these authenticates have??? Makes me wonder how many sellers got told their authentic bags were counterfeit and had them destroyed. PLEASE do not offer a service unless you have it perfected - this really is turning me off to purchasing higher end items here, sadly. :/

Wish they could see my comments and realize this is currently not a "service" that works. I have attempted to contact @pm_editor Posh through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, E-mailing them directly, NO RESPONSE. Own up to your mistakes.

purpleandlace @pm_editor @manish @njcati Makes me think that Poshmark employees think the sellers/buyers are not smart enough to know the difference between replicas and authentic items. FYI I own many high end designer bags, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Stella McCartney, Gucci, & more. We're not all teenagers selling used items from cheap stores. Also I am suspicious that an employee just wanted to keep my bag. They gave me NO legitimate reason as to why they deemed my bag "counterfeit".
