laurenlynx_ @emilykelley1562 Hi, Emily. I didn't actually try the coat on. I ordered it online and when I got it, I realized my shoulders were too broad for this coat so it would be tight on my upper arms. I attempted to measure everything through the plastic packaging so everything stayed in the original packaging. Generally speaking, 21-23" across is an XL. 18" is generally a Medium, 19-20" is a Large. This coat measures apx 22" across. To me, it would seem that would be a true XL. I hope this helps :)
